For those who wonder how Mysticism/Spirituality work inside of you, it's actually just your "Mind". The Spirit or Ruh is the part of you which is non-physical. In actuality it is your thoughts, imagination and ultimately your consciousness and awareness. Not some kind of apparition or ghost that you think you'll become after you die. Consciousness or Awareness is the very presence that you feel that gives you this very experience. Through Consciousness itself, it is how the universe is trying to understand and explore itself.

I got some thoughts on this subject. I think the recognition of self happens in two places in human beings one being like you say consciousness or the Rooh and the nafs which I think is the emotional perception of self as experienced through the body specifically pleasure and pain, and the emotions usually dominate the consciousness. And success is growing the emotional self to the level of the conscious self by submitting it to the mind, by submitting to the laws of Allah.

Nice point of your view about this subjects .. I wonder what your thoughts on what Abdul Qodir Jaelani have said through his book "Sirrul Asror" about ruh, nafs, lub/qolb and aql .. would love to hear your reaction

My opinion; Ruh= awareness. (More than 3D world) Nafs= biological self (3D chemistry) Qalb= subconscious (more than chemistry, more than 3D, like a backup cloud storing habits) Fuad= mind/consciousness (3D chemistry) Awareness isn't consciousness, because consciousness has more elements. Awareness is basic observation, consciousness includes some understanding.

Salam Mufti, if consciousness is non local what is it that leaves our body? Is it that there are two consciousnesses one is non changing and real and other is changing which is in our body, as we tap into the real consciousness we transform our soul accordingly (صبغت اللّٰهِ ), if we don't tap into it we live animalistic lives (ولا تکونو کلاذین نس اللّٰه فانسھم انفسھم).... My understanding is correct or no?

It's called the "Holy Spirit" in Christianity. It links us to God through the channel of personal or collective revelation. It goes beyong science and taps to the supernatural. Only God could answer to that. I'm a Christian. ✝️✝️

I'm afraid this isn't a accurate understanding of nafs ruh and consciousness. 1.nafs is a whole system that spans across all subtle bodies which insan has been given which then through certain practices has to be upgraded from the gross to the subtle. 2.The ruh is a subtle body of light which collects the Noor of Allah (swt) which then favours us in the spiritual world/after life. 3.The prophet (saw) was addressing a group of Jews, who understood aspects and possibilities of the souls power to transcend time and space but their intentions were to use it in a wrong way, they would be the groups under Kabbalah in the modern age. So the answer was a perfect one in reminding them that it's Allah(swt) command that allows the soul to reach hidden knowledges which they were after. 4.Conciousness isn't the ruh itself but the spirit power which belongs to the "ruh body" it can arrive and be in multiple places all at once, experiencing each dimension or realm according to it's spiritual power. It's angelic power allows a person to reach all points even if they all point at one point.

i don't think self can be split..even if you have multiple personality you are still you..You still need to get hold of your action
@VerdantJedi2 жыл бұрын
If you still think that you are still you, that is your ego talking. It's Solipsism, it's a natural disposition. But think of it this way. If you could imagine yourself being someone else, to vicariously live through someone else for a moment, that imagining is how you tap into someone else's personality. Since it's possible to imagine this, the possibility of someone having split personalities is very plausible. The only problem is that there is something that has been done to their brain that prevents any control over split personalities, perhaps an injury or a birth defect. Actors are a great example when it comes to having different types of personalities, but ultimately they are in control over them. Empathy, it is an ability that we always had. All the different types of personalities we could ever imagine, we always had them, it's within our potential. But we express them only to limited degree based on our upbringing, our traumas and challenges in life. To briefly experience egolessness is to imagine that you are the experience itself. It's like falling in love, you feel it so deeply that you forget yourself and all that is left is the experience of love. Egolessness is the experience of the collective Solipsism...
@furejul76192 жыл бұрын
@@VerdantJedi ‘they are in control over them’..So in judgement day you will get trial on what you been doing on this earth..so to say that ‘you’’i’ is ego is incorrect..the point is that we are always in thought before doing anything..so the blame is on us..not split personality..
@VerdantJedi2 жыл бұрын
@@furejul7619 What I'm saying is both cases are valid. If that person has a problem with his brain maybe because he was born that way or had an accident and because of that experiences split personality, it's a possibility we can't ignore. His memories in his neurons could have been rewired to express multiple personality types that he might have witnessed, perhaps from watching a character from a movie or interacting with others before he had the head accident. Above all "IF" this happens it is part of God's will. Every possibility, every expression manifested in this reality is the will of God, because God is infinity. The person going through this experience knows better than you will ever know. No one could ever lie to themselves if they're going through a genuine experience. So in this case God knows better than what you would assume for that type of person. If that person is lying about having this condition the whole time, God will also know. Its vice versa. At the same time I'm not dismissing that the average person is not in control of their actions. Your argument was more about morality but I wasn't trying to get to the topic of morality with you... I'm only trying to rationalise that we actually have it within us to express all these personalities. Change is ever Constant. It's possible to change your character multiple times in a single lifetime. A person may have been vile in the past and may have change a new leaf or a person could be an introvert who become a well spoken extrovert. But we only experience them one at a time and the culmination of these changes makes up your very own individuality. It seeps into this concept of All is One. Despite the many, you are all of it, yet singular. That's the beauty of it. Your ego is but a mask, but underneath it you are like an infinite potential waiting to express itself. Accountability and morality is besides the point I'm trying to make here. Sure, in a functioning society if a person proves to be a threat to the community they would be held accountable, split personality or not, and would be locked up or worse.

People who appeal to the neural-correlates being the causation of consciousness is clearly a correlation fallacy. Even if they argue that consciousness is caused by these neural correlates, because it occurs after them is fallacious reasoning because it is a post-hoc fallacy.
