I like to think of TheRunawayGuys and related personalities as their own fandom, not even related to normal video game fandom, given how, among other things, they have their own catchphrases and in-jokes that really aren't about the games they're playing. Also, I feel really sorry for that poor person who felt the need to praise the gang as an alternative to "toxic" video game culture rather than on their own merits, as well as anyone else dwelling on the concept of "toxic fandom," because you need to actually dig around on message boards to find truly toxic people in fan communities. Most people in all fandoms are normal, healthy, non-misanthropic people, unless you're inclined to be bothered by other people's private opinions and beliefs, and the best solution for escaping "toxic" fandom is simply taking a break from the internet.

Sonic Parks I mean it is a pathetic excuse considering they do plan on doing a Deluxe Cruise proper for the LP. However you also make it sound like gathering 8 people that meet for but a few days at best together at one location for recording is an easy feat. And perhaps it’s because I don’t have a perpetual rain cloud over my head sullying my view of anything fun, but even if it’s a train wreck, it’s still an enjoyable one.

I didn't say that it's an easy feat to do nor do I think that it's easy. But I do think that it's a pathetic excuse for people to say that because of this video, "they've already done 8-Player mode". How can they have already done it, when all that happens is people moving to different spots and controllers? We don't even see all the 8-Player minigames so it CAN'T be them already doing it. I just don't like how people think that when it isn't true.

We can let Jon, Tim and Emile off the hook for the 8 player party option now. That said, I can't wait to see them play the board events in Mario Party 7, especially in WindmillVille. This is the first board in MP history where your stars are not yours to keep if someone invests more than you in property; it's like Monopoly/Fortune Street but with mini games to break up the monotony of playing the stock market. And in all three games, the boards are based on actual places in the real world or in the game(s)' universe. Hooray for such a wonderful stream. I didn't get to be there watching live, but it's great to know the Hiker Dance was done ELEVEN times instead of the projected five for the 50k goal. So much help for Direct Relief and lots of fun shenanigans in the games and in the room. HAIL TO LORD DONATOR and PRAISE THE LAMP! lol

So story time: When I was like 5 or 6, don’t remember specifically, I used to play to 5 turns of a board of Grand Canal, the board I liked the most. The reason is because the Bowser meter filling up to the top, breathing steam, and the cracking of the screen effect at the beginning of the turn scared the crap out of me. No joke, I used to have nightmares of something like that. Once the 5th turn’s result screen rolled over, I pushed the reset button on the console and started a board over again. Oh yeah, and the Solo Cruise Bowser Spaces slightly scared me because of the screen’s darkening and the Black holes through the bridges, but it wasn’t as bad as the meter in normal Party Mode. Nowadays as a 19 year-old, I’m completely immune to the terrors that meter used to give me, and can enjoy my favorite Mario Party game to the fullest!
