Hello, everyone -- thought I'd clear something up for you. The reason the lip-synching on this isn't great is that this recording is from our first album and we weren't told in advance we were going to be doing this. We had been, at that point, performing the song a little differently live for some time. Cherie was given no time to listen to the record or to rehearse singing along to it. We just showed up, did a couple of takes and that was that. (And yes, that's me on bass in this video, not Michael Steele).

Hi, everyone - since this seems to be a page with a lot of fans of The Runaways, I'm popping in to let you know I'll be doing another live-streamed AMA (ask me anything) on KZbin on Sat. Sept. 27th at 11 AM PST/ 2 PM EST. It will be available to watch later on my KZbin Channel under the videos tab. Since I've gotten a lot of questions about what I think about the various books & movies on The Runaways, I'll answer that question first and then we can discuss whatever people want (books, music, trivia, cats, gender, the best chocolate brands -- whatever). The truth is, that in 1976-'77, only Rock n Roll nerds who read music magazines knew a band like the Runaways even existed. They were completely unknown to the average mainstream listener, who would be listening to stuff like Frampton Comes Alive, Boston, Bat out of Hell, Night Moves, Fleetwood Mac or Hotel California. Even Blondie or Talking Heads were still under the mainstream radar at that time. I first learned about 'em at the age of 13 in a 1976 issue of Rock Scene magazine. A black and white one page photo spread. I bought the magazine for the KISS article.

It's a deceptive cut because it starts on Lita and then switches to a shot where you can only see the guitar. After a second I thought "what terrible miming for a solo, that just looks like a chord" and then it panned out to show Joan. At least it was a guitar. I've seen cameras cut to basses during solos so this was at least the right instrument.
