In spurts yes. For the most part in VA it's over but now it's really big buck time. Biggest deer I've ever killed were always between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I haven't seen a chase in VA since November 5th

People are using to many trail cameras that's why states are starting to out law them. I scout, find deer trails . Watch and wait and am successful. No camera just patience and prayer.

I find scrapes on Nov 18 where there was none a week b4. I believe the rut is different across the country. I'm in upstate NY

Eric - Bucks don't use scrapes much during the peak of the rut. Now that the peak of the rut is over, scrapes will be used again.

So if the turkey are still jumping and belly bucking each other in my area, that would seem to suggest that the bucks are still at it as well. Is it reasonable to presume that the two species' mating activity are concurrent? NH here.

Now is the best time for bucks to be searching further and further for a declining number of does in heat. It's the same for turkey in the spring, gobblers react to calls and decoys much better than when their locked down with early birds
