I watched a documentary that featured Martin Bormann's son (I think it was Volker Bormann and the title was Hitler's Children) and his life had been blighted by his father's actions and name. He met with survivors and descendants of those who were in the camps and they all welcomed him and told him the horror and shame of his father's actions was not his to carry and they bore him no hate or malice. I hope it gives him some peace. Another excellent presentation, as always.

There was one about the grandson of the commandant of Auschwitz and he said he would kill his grandfather himself if he could and he even met holocaust survivors too and cried when he met them and apologized for what his grandfather did . They said he isn’t guilty for what his grandfather did . He even has a Star of David ✡️ tattoo on his chest.

I have seen on e with Hans Frank's son. He too carried a lot of guilt. The one I saw though had a lot of children/grandchildren of survivors going over the ordeal with him and honestly it felt like they wanted him to feel guilt. As if he had anything to do with it. It felt very wrong. I don't recall any actual survivors doing that though.

My father lived four months of the year in Berlin from 1984-87. In May of 1987, I visited him and was shocked when we drove through the sector with Spandau to see it being dismantled. Hess had died only a few weeks earlier and as soon as he did, the Soviets began taking the prison apart.
@eedwards4603

Thank you for this video, and the many other good ones you have produced. But please note that we now know for sure when and where Martin Bormann died, and where he is currently buried. His remains have been conclusively DNA identified. For an excellent mini documentary on MB I couldn't suggest better material than Dr. Mark Felton's productions. The link below: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIbYcpSMq86agtk&ab_channel=MarkFeltonProductions On a sidenote: it is my opinion that the top Nazi wives got off way too easy. A problem with living in a corrupt dictatorship is if you knew that one of these women did something horribly evil, and she knows you know and you think she should not get away with it, so you think you must tell someone about it, she just has to tell you who she is married to and she then tells you to leave her alone or you will be VERY sorry you did not. It's been proven that MANY women working for the Nazis got off very easily. And it's been attributed to the times. In the minds of many at the time, women were seen as weak and incapable of committing the horrific acts they were accused of. Plus, it helped them when they pretended to be innocent, dumb, and gave crocodile tears.

They should have done what the French did to the wife of the gauleiter of Alsace, Wagner. After being promenaded with her daughter in the streets of Stasbourg, they sent her to a Paris bordello for Algerian men. She killed herself after a few days.

All those brutal and sadistic men and women found each other. They shared their hatred for innocent people’s lives. They enjoyed torturing and killing them. Millions of people. What would have those evil souls have done if there wasn’t any war? And there were so many of them. None of them ever realizing: This is so wrong. People like that still live around us. Our neighbor, our teacher, our colleague keeping up appearances. It’s incomprehensible. Murdering, stealing, living in wealth. Without a care in the world. So disgusting.

I believe in the equality of women for often behind, due to a generally patriarchal system, women have stood with men of both fame and infamy. Without their support, while standing alone, could these men have achieved such heights or depths... I think not. Through fear, enabling and the full palette of human emotion; womankind has shape our history as much as mankind.
