I like how real your videos are. Fighting through problems we all would actually have. And I love that you stick with doing budget stuff. Other youtubers go to stuff none of us could ever afford and while its cool to watch every once in awhile. It is much more relatable watching your videos still.

I love the confidence you have in yourself and the enthusiasm you have throughout the builds. Seeing a younger man doing what he loves,but still taking care of his kids and including them in the videos should be an inspiration to other young youtubers!

You forgot to throw some red on the 18 on the back of the cylinder head. That casting basically tells you it came off an 1800 engine. They go 15, 16, and 18 for all the B-series motors.

Very insightful. Its hella rare for me to see anyone demonstrate a level of patience exceeding my own. That said, the work ethic is obviously otherworldly. I follow channels where full crews of mechanics with sponsorship and outside of budget constraints fall short of your solo productivity as well as lack in video output. Imma quit fan girling but only after stating that you still make a point to answer any questions relevant to the task at hand for you're children. This is all, real boss shyt!

Nice job on cleaning and painting. Take advantage of my personal experience with mine and order replacement gaskets for the 2 plates on the side of the engine and seriously consider installing an oil catch can where the vent tube comes out of the front cover. Replacement covers in aluminum are also available that are stiffer and less leak prone.

You really need to give GUNK engine degreaser a try. Spray the whole engine and transmission down, let it sit a couple minutes then spray if off with a hose and watch the dirt and grease just fall off!

2:22 it's also good to remove this stuff because if it's heavy enough it could act as an insulator and make it more difficult for heat to dissipate.

@joshuachandra66774 жыл бұрын
If you're not going to daily this keeping it exclusive race car might I suggest a 13B/12A. Rotary engines are very reliable for racing not so much for daily driving. Power to weight ratio is an obvious benefit. Howeer I believe the lowered center of gravity is far more important for going around corners. Physics! Also it's so small it fits practically anywhere. Lastly an external oil cooler es mui importante

I'm thinking I saw Donut Media video where they talked about some of those cars came out with V8s... Maybe a 289?
@jayinmi37064 жыл бұрын
IIRC it was a Rover-based 215.
@MarioFunk4 жыл бұрын
Engine was originally a Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac 215/3.5 all aluminum V8. Sold to Rover in the mid-60s, and proceeded to stay in production for another 40 years. BGT V8 was offered with the 3.5 in 1974, but that was just before the oil crisis, so it only lasted about 2 years. RV8 was launched in 1992 with the 3.9 V8, and was a limited edition car that only lasted 2 years.

There's some local auto shop's wherein u get to sandblast those parts, just tape up the parts of the engine block thats needs to be taped up. result will be more awesome for painting and shit like that man and go for more aftermarket upgrades not stock because that car is old. upgrading to more better aftermarket parts means more reliable even tho its old not just adding power. practicality wise man, u go for used old stock parts will get u more trouble and money every time that car breaks down, believe me
