If anything, THOSE ladies have a valid case for seeking better pay. Some barely make $100 a game. I'm not kidding. They do see their travel costs covered, but sports leagues expect these dancers and cheerleaders to make their money in other ways, like showing up at promotional gigs. Even though most sports dancers and cheerleaders have second jobs. That's not even counting the amount of time they spend for training, tryouts, and workouts. It's absurd, really. Look at World soccer, US college football and basketball vs club soccer, the NFL and unless is court side seating the NBA...... Women are filling the stands when and were they can be seen by cameramen and by other women. Thats it. The problem is the WNBA players play like average high school players. Even if they could beat the average men's high school team due to size and shooting percentage, they don't have any better moves. Men get better in college and beyond and have to learn moves to avoid being blocked. The women haven't gotten there, yet. This is probably not strictly a physical ability thing, more a lack of competition. Most of these women have a great jump shot and a basic layup. If they get blocked, they get blocked. They don't use any moves. No in-air pumps, scoops, floaters, in-air body contact to make space, in-air body control, sacrificing the body to a hard landing to get a fraction of a second more hang time. Just a little upsy, do their one shot, land on both feet like they were doing nothing important, and the game wasn't on the line. And if they get blocked, oh well. They tried as hard as their puny salary justified, I guess. :) There are only a few players who have anything beyond that, like say Diana Taurasi. Watching her play is like watching any halfway decent male player playing against a bunch of cardboard cutouts on defense. The WNBA would be good if there were 100 more players at her level. There is zero need for athletic ability. Simply having a few finishing moves and a high shot percentage is enough to be a superstar, at this point. For the game to evolve, there needs to be more competition. Girls have to be interested in playing basketball at school age, and they're mostly not.

I remember playing with a varsity girl basketball player growing up. She played with the boys in pickup. Kinda cute and everyone liked to have her. All she had was one move. A pump fake to the left, as if she was actually going to put up a shot like Lonzo Ball, then back to the right for a typical girl "boing" shot from the chest with a 6 inch hop. You stopped stuffing her out of pity, because that's all she had and she did it 100.00% of the time when a defender was near. It was a dead giveaway of when and where she was going to take the real shot. It's just sad that women defenders in her games couldn't figure that out in 10 seconds of playing against her. This is why women don't develop moves. They never had to. Where the ball is right now, that seems to be all most of them can figure out. The hand moves faster than the eye, but for a good player, the mind moves faster than the hand. Women don't have many of those players to compete against, growing up. There's no anticipation. Just reaction. Women's basketball is a lot of passing and cutting to create open jump shots. With maybe a few exceptions, like Diana Taurasi who has a sweet release, the rest are clones of each other, like a spring going off from the chest. It's like watching a shooting drill back and forth. But even the shooting form is boring to watch. Boing! Boing! Boing! With a stiff as a board finish/follow through. It's like watching a mouse trap go off.

@@mildyproductive9726 Where I live my Senior highschool team would basically win against them and even our Jr Team actually have some players that could make the WNBA team struggle. I myself isn't a Basket Ball player, but even I could spot out openings in the WNBA team. Our Females Basketball team tried to beat the our Jr team. The Match was a massicur. It was 20-5 in the first half and 29 to 8 and this would've been even worse if there coach didn't tell them to play "a bit slower".
