Skelator bowing and letting her walk first into the portal is a subtle but brilliant tactic on his part. She's never been treated decently and yet here is this guy who not only saved her, but is treating her like a lady. Good way to win someone over and make them follow you unquestionably, by giving them the validation they've never had and make them believe you truly care about them.

It very much combining the Movie version of He man and parts of the original series into a new series. Blade appears in this series, and Evil Lyn and Skeletor have the relationship hinted from the movie. I feel this Evil Lyn has the features of the 80s cartoon Evil Lyn but the personality and uncertainty of the movie Evil Lyn.

So working my way up to Animator I realized later it was one of my best career choices to start as an assistant first as I learned so much at Hanna-Barbera from working with so my legendary Animator greats to apply their knowledge to my animation on the Flintstones a show I grew up with as a child every day for the Saturday morning televised cartoon shows. I was blessed to have animated on so many shows for Hanna-Barbera Productions at the time with a short list of animation show titles such as, "The Jetsons, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Popeye the Sailor Man, Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo, The Smurfs, Space Ghost, just to name a few really. Then as the animation crew for Hanna-Barbera started to downsize due to the runaway overseas productions going overseas I saw the writing on the wall and was referred by my colleagues to apply for a job in the mid-80s to animate on the popular TV show called He-Man Masters of the Universe. I displayed my portfolio of drawings to the Filmation Director and was hired on the spot for the job to animate for He-Man and the rest is history. More stories to become of my experience animating the animation classic He-Man TV series. yeah, in the 2002 cartoon, Evilyn is the daughter of the Faceless One, who was once a member of the Council of Elders known as the Lord of Zalesa, but turned his back on them when they refused to help him rescue his daughter from King Hiss the Lord of Zalesa then gave King Hiss the power to awaken and control Serpos in exchange for getting his daughter back, but this meant King Hiss could now use Serpos to attack Zalesa the Lord was then approached by a mysterious man (later revealed to be Keldor) and gave him his staff (which later became Skeletor's staff) in exchange for the man taking his daughter to safety the Lord failed to defeat Serpos with the Ram Stone and Zalesa was destroyed, this was when the Elders showed up and imprisoned Serpos in stone, they then punished the Lord by cursing him into becoming the Faceless One

as for the Lord's daughter, Keldor kept his word and raised her, she became an evil sorceress and took the name Evilyn, she served Keldor and was there to witness him be transformed into Skeletor by Hordak the longer she served Skeletor, the more ambitious Evilyn grew, and she tried to find ways to overthrow Skeletor, but she hasn't really made any progress, and Skeletor, despite knowing what she plans, kept Evilyn close

yup, in the comics, Evilyn was abandoned by her birth parents and sold to a cannibalistic couple, she was able to escape from them and hide in the sewers, she meets an old witch named Mageastra, who introduced her to magic, but when Evilyn tried to use her powers to get revenge on her foster parents Mageastra stopped her, prompting Evilyn to flee much later, Evilyn is rescued by Skeletor, who tells her that she is a lot more connected to magic than she thinks, and the reason she was not able to use her powers freely was because Mageastra was purposely blocking her full potential as a method of control Evilyn then confronts Magaestra with Skeletor, and during the confrontation, Skeletor boosts Evilyn's magic, allowing her to overpower Magaestra and choke her to death telekinetically after this, Evilyn gained access to her full magical potential and served Skeletor, helping him defeat Hordak, so that they could break free of the Horde's control and start their own Masters of Evil army to try and take over Eternia for themselves Skeletor recruited warriors of magic and science, but was shown to rely more on magic provided by Evilyn than the science provided by Triklops Evilyn served Skeletor as faithfully as she could, but she also did a lot of plotting behind his back, because she desired to be in control

She’s always portrayed as much younger than Skeletor, in a way you could say he groomed her. It’s not always sexual, you can use a minor in other evil ways too, thought I’m of the theory that Skeletor did both in several versions of the story, including this one.
