Galaxy was one of their best Mario games ever made, incredibly beaitful art direction, fully orchestrated soundtrack, unique gameplay. Skyward Sword had so much detail, a fully orchestrated soundtrack as well, massive game with fun bosses. We also got Xenoblade that was probably the best JRPG ever made with a 70 hour story and hundreds of hours of side content. Motion controls is irrelevant to a game being casual. There is no logical connection here, it's just something you people made up and keep repeating it, and you think if you repeat it enough, it becomes true. No casual gamer is going to spend 50+ hours on a game like you would in Skyward Sword. No casual gamer is going to spend 100+ hours on a game like you would in Xenoblade or Breath of the Wild. No casual gamer is going to spend 150+ hours on a game like you would in Xenoblade X. Nintendo coming up with unique ways to play is _irrelevant_ to whether or not a game is "casual". A casual game is something you play _casually_ . Nintendo occasionally does make casual games, like Wii Sports, Wii Music, Wii U Party, or 1-2-Switch, but you don't have to buy those.

From what I’ve seen, Dunkey’s opinion on games will change over time. He will replay games, and if it doesn’t make a fantastic first impression, he could go back and enjoy it. He did that with Doom, he compliments later in a few of his videos, which is nice because it just shows he isn’t static in his views, he is willing to change his mind and view things from a different perspective, as opposed to giving games a review score then never touching them again

Dark Souls 3, Ratchet & Clank & Fire Emblem Fates (even though it released in '15 in Japan) have been good so far. We still have Yakuza 6, Pokemon Sun & Moon, Final Fantasy XV and The Last Guardian to look forward to.

I'm about to beat Conquest and play Revelations next. but the story for it and Birthright is pretty meh so far. Wish the characters were better too, they're either annoying (Hayato) or just uninteresting and unlikeable (like Takumi) or just have some weird trait that just feels off. Too many loli/young looking characters as well, feel like a pedo making some of them mothers and fathers lol. The gameplay I like though, even if it hasn't changed a whole lot.

I thought the story of Fates was pure garbage, across all three routes. Functionally speaking, Fates is a better game than Awakening, but holy high hell does it have a shit story, a shit cast and a *very* shit narrative. By far my least favourite Fire Emblem game, even below fucking Gaiden.

The Ike games are by far my favorites, Haar is the GoAT. Some of the characters I liked quite a bit in Fates were Kaze, Ryoma, Kagero, Jakob, Azama, etc. but others can go straight to hell, like Hayato or Odin.

I've played every souls game, but dks3, I love it, other than balancing, stamina consuption, the Duels are great, but you can only have so much fun in duels, so YEAH INVASION...... they are shit in dks3, only like 3 viable invasion builds, DMB combo, hornet ring high ar weapon, Washing pole spam hit and run. PVE is good the first 2-3 times, after that it sucks. Dks1 and bloodborne had such good pve, demons souls too, dks2 has worst pve, but most balanced pvp IMO, but dks3's Pve is second worst, too linear gets too old.

Fun fact, Owlboy developers made a phone game based on a dubstep/complextro artist (Alexander Vinter aka Savant). The game is called Savant: Ascension, and honestly, not only the pixel art is high quality, but the gameplay itself is so fun and addictive.

I bought it shortly after its release aaaaaaaannnnnd- I liked it. The art was stunning and not generic, bullshit "8-bit" art like many other indie games do. The characters were great, especially Otus (being that he is a mute character with flaws and actually messes up a lot, he is not the generic highly-proclaimed hero.) The story takes some unexpected turns and even drew some tears out of me. The music is outstanding and refreshing. It has an interesting combat system that mostly relies on skill rather than power. I especially loved the stealth and escape levels, if your into that kinda stuff. The effects they use on screen also makes certain things feel more fast, heavy, and threatening. The way the game ended was beautiful, in my opinion. Some minor nitpicks: Otus isn't the fastest, so for some parts you may abuse the dash button. The combat, while using interesting components, isn't revolutionary. Some puzzles can be rather predictable. I'd give it an overall 9/10, it's not perfect, but my god it was refreshing. I totally recommend it, if you like story driven games and puzzle-platformers.

I think it depends on how old you are or how much you've played shooters. Some of us have played every big name shooter since n64 and have experience every big innovation in that genre. So for us, most of these newer games all start to feel the same and a good story and aesthetics doesn't mean jack (I loved the last of us but that game has no replay value). I also can't stand railed gameplay and quick time events. Also, Uncharted 4 has an amazing physics engine and they don't even let you play around with it, its just for aesthetics. Why have these stupid easy puzzles when they could've made physic based ones like in HL2? Not to mention that it is the most linear game themed on exploration that I've ever played.
