Well, they are cheaters. Bad people. So it shouldn't really be that shocking. They are scum and don't care what their actions do. A apparent only felt "bad" after C was born. That shows how bad she is.

Story 1: I'm happy OP was able to meet his nieces and was able to get a little piece of his brother back in C. This story teaches that family isn't about who you're related to its about having good and quality people who care about you. He as well as his sister and nieces cut off alot of shitty people including his brother and parents in order to have the best family. He should never reach out to his parents. They are feeling sorry now because they're all alone and have no one. And this is all their doing. Put their one son above everyone else and that son destroyed many lives including their own son. All because of their own actions as parents. This loneliness is their karma

2nd story, fact they kept trying to make up excuses. "Problem child" in what way "don't know" "mental health problems" you mean self harm because of neglect and cry for help when you had to go rehab?"" I don't read fantasy books" cool, I don't read any books, if any one of my friends, let alone family, told me they got a book published, I'd be extatuc and congratulating them loads. Family only sorry because they realised they had pushed too far

Good to hear that latest update on the 1st story. Of course, had some rough patches there but looks like OP is doing good with his new relationship with his nieces. As for his new issue, OP should give some good thinking on whether or not he contacts his parents. He has some very fair and heavy resentment towards them and it's always hard to get over a betrayal like that. However, if OP even has a tiny bit of him that might be curious to what his parents will say to him now then it might be worth at least 1 meet up. "Expect the worst, but hope for the best" as the saying goes if he did decide to see the parents. And OP should only go that route if a part of him WANTS to do it.

There is a special place in hell for family members who steals a family members spouses. Especially siblings. You force everyone to pick a side. Normal families would side with the betrayed. Some ahole family like this one would sude with the cheaters. And the betrayed has now lost their family.

I have a brilliant friend, who is an honest to Glob scientist. When she was going out for her masters, she had some big project to complete. She started to rattle off the process and i kinda glazed over and asked her for the dumbed down version. She happily complied, wording it in a way i could a) understand and 2) allowed me to kinda throw idea of improvement, to which she accepted as possible. As i said, bitch is brilliant so my suggestion was probably considered by her but she's lovely and enjoys intelligent diagonal with me, even when its out of my wheelhouse. This same friend makes or a poiny to talk and learn about my interests with me. Hell, i got her into crochet(she already knew how to knit) and we talk stitches and our current projects. What i'm saying is...intelligence is not an excuse to be a shit person, especially to family.

If you hit someone, you're an ogre. You're an asshole. No one sides with you, because you're too big to be so sensitive. People like you are the reason people like me have to deal with this bullshit.

How could someone ever ask for someone to forgive their parents for not vating abiht the death of their child? One of their kids betrayed the other so bad it led to him dying and they defended him, no only that: support the cheater that caused all of this. They would not be humans in my eyes, especially the cheater.

Because they changed greatly and based on updates after the shock subsided a week or so post funeral they absolutely drilled into him and he had long lost golden child status. Remember he was NC for 20 years. A lot can change. And they did to. Returning contact doesn't necessarily mean fully forgiven.

Second story had reminded me a story of my cousin brother who was kinda different he didn't understand science but pretty much good at maths when he didn't go to pretty good college all relatives were shaming him and his parents threw him out which my parents protested it. 10 years later that guy is a bureaucrat for defence in our country. After that his parents tried to contact him for reconcile but he clearly said fu*ck off.

Story 1: Hmmm, meeting the parents again? That's a tough call. Personally, I wouldn't do it. Parents who play favorites rarely see the error of their ways, and could spend most of the time with OP trying to justify their actions. Plus, it appears from the update, the main reason they're interested in talking to OP is because others family members aren't talking to them anymore. So they're just lonely. However, the events that happened after the family found out about C's true parentage COULD potentially have opened their eyes to what a dirtbag they raised or they truly want to see OP because they DO love him. So if OP ever sees this, my answer is a cautious "yes" on meeting his parents, as long as he goes into the meeting with few expectations. P. S. It might be good that OP never had any daughters, cause the 6'4", 240 lbs tough guy probably would be a TOTAL pushover! 😂😂😂
@buttholesurfer3213

Sounds like they just want OP back in their lives because they don’t want to look like total failures. Their sons have abandoned them, one for justified reasons and the other (P) out of pure narcissism. The fact that neither talk to them makes them look pathetic in the eyes of their peers. By roping OP back into their lives, they can parade him around in front of their social circle and say “look guys, we’re not complete fuck-ups!”

Hmmm, I kind of understand why OP's nieces (C and S) want him to re-contact his parents but they should be the first ones to do the 1st move imo... Their supposed "neutral position" and support to the betrayers led to one of their sons to self-delete and another one to cut every contacts with them. And now their grandchildren are caught in a somewhat crossfire caused by their favoritism and their non-willingness to rectify the wronged parts... They lost 2 sons because of their golden one and are letting 2 of their granddaughters suffer because of it after 20yrs..? What pathetic beings they are...

May be a stupid thing to consider, but is it possible that OP im 2nd story is an affair child? Idk, why else would everyone get STEM easily and not her? Like ik thats not necessarily genetic, but could that be a reason why?
@XaxaWashington
@XaxaWashington 8 ай бұрын
Not necessarily. Even speaking of just genetically, a massive amount of your genes affect your brain's formation. So her getting a "bad set" (not good word usage as she isn't stupid) of genes from both parents in that regard wouldn't be abnormal. "At least a third of the approximately 20,000 different genes that make up the human genome are active (expressed) primarily in the brain. This is the highest proportion of genes expressed in any part of the body." -National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Intellectual elitism is a real thing in spaces like that, it's the reason for the rampant adderall abuse in schools like the ones she went to. If you don't do well in a subject, then you are often times considered garbage, even if you are still doing amazing in others. If your parents are apart of those circles, you could be ostracized because you're a "disgrace to the family".

If green eyes are the main trait in all the siblings except one... yeah, there might be a good reason, i think there was a high probability the scummy brother was the result of an affair. Usually when children are favored or ignored its usually because they were affair children. Same thing happened in my family with my middle brother, my mother made sure he got way more of everything compared to the rest of us, and my mom treated me and my other brother like garbage. Years later after we are all adults it comes to light he was our half brother and an affair child. Everyone in our family, even extended, has blue eyes, my middle brother was the only one with brown eyes, and his blood type was ultra rare and impossible to have otherwise. Not too hard to figure out, his behaviors, and demeanor were also very uncharacteristic of either side of the family as well. The DNA test the neice took in the story would have shown the relationship between her half siblings to be slightly closer, i.e. double cousins, high half sibs, etc. If the different fathers were actual full brothers. Grandma is for the streets, thats for sure.

Honestly, in the first story, the therapist that op went to see is the best example for why i believe therapy is bullshit, that therapist WANTED op to connect with that trash of a family so the therapist could milk himfor more money, and the only reason why op THINKS it worked is because he spent enough time to the point where his mind moved on and instead of giving the credit to himself he is giving it to his therapist which the therapist doesn’t deserve jack shit of, look i am just going to say this point blank, therapy is bullshit, therapists are charlatans, faith healers, people who actively try to make sure that misfortune happens to you so they can get more money from you, honestly they should be outlawed for their unethical practices, if you need someone to talk to, post your stories on reddit or any similar website, make sure to keep any identifying details out, you will be surprised how many people are willing to listen and help, i guarentee that their help is going to be MUCH better than any therapist.
