I am hypoglycemia. Some times my vision get blurry and the only thing that fix it is taking sugar water, and it fix the problem, but after fixing the problem I get a terrible headache. I stopped eating sweet three years ago when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I changed my way of eating, and I no longer have prostate cancer. Thanks to God and my decision to eat healthy.

I added more Celtic unrefined sea salt daily. I literally grind it in my hand several times a day and drink water. My hydration has increased and blood pressure has gone down.

Thank you for having him on. This was great, in large part, because Shaun T asks better questions than even a doctor would.

For several decades , since 70’s people tried to persuade me to cut down on my ‘normal’ salt intake . I was born right by the sea in Aouth of SriLanka ,& my intuition told me that I must not reduce my salt intake as my BP was 90/60 and my pulse is around 60 . In Nursing I knew that salt plays a major role in cardio-vascular health. Coming across this great Dr James’s book , The Salt Fix’ demonstrated tone that my intuition with scientific mind was spot on . Thank you for your findings Dr James . Respect .

This guy is just trying to earn money. The challenge we face is some people eat processed food and have too much salt in their diet. Yes, there are people whose salt intake is too low but they are in the minority given the average American diet. The correct message is to keep your salt intake in a range appropriate for you.

I think you totally missed the point. He’s talking about unrefined salt that contains all bioavailable minerals in the right ratios. Apart from his books, how could he earn money on salt? 😂

You seem to be lacking in comprehension. NOWHERE does he suggest eating over-processed, demineralized, zero electrolyte salt that is in processed diets. He's talking to people who actually care about their health & choose NOT to eat the average American diet.

This Doctor is very good. All great information. For the longest time 21 years ago and until recently. During my workouts I would get muscle cramps. I thought it was potassium/magnesium deficiency. So I would drink liquid minerals. But I would still get cramps during my workouts. I recently started watching this bodybuilder on KZbin he was salting all his food before his workouts. He said it helped him from getting muscle cramps. In the passed doctors and other people would say don’t use salt. So I stayed away from using salt on everything. If the food had salt in it already I would just eat it. I just started to salt to taste all my food. Also if I eat before a workout I do salt my food. I was like wow I have no more muscle cramps. So this doctor is correct. He is very good.

Everyone is different, some people need way more salt. Salt is amazing but from what I’ve Learned so far you need potassium and magnesium. Minerals are important to health.

For so many years everyone drilled it into my head salt was bad. I fainted so much since I was a kid or would feel faint easily. Finally got diagnosed with ehlers danlos syndrome and with POTS being a common comorbidity I was told to add salt to my water or load up on electrolytes. I haven't felt faint or fainted since making that simple switch and making sure I stayed hydrated as much as possible. Great video
