admittedly the only reason they were able to rally seijuro was BECAUSE of the numbers problem, i like to think that the samurai (if they can avoid it) hate to kill their own, just because again with how few of them there are, every hand is a blade to protect whats left (also i think its worth mentioning, if my memory serves there are two hitokiri, Yato and Sakura, and it was Yato that actually aligned with Horkos, Sakura stayed with Chimera but she didnt have much of a role there either)

I was recently replaying the campaign specifically the viking mission where they land on the samurai’s territory with boats. there where these bot hero’s who had shields and a katana. And it made me realize they dont have a single Shield hero.

Can't wait for you to take on the Vikings. You should tap into the mystery surrounding their journey across the sea, and their eventual return. It actually sounds pretty similar to their attempts at settling Greenland. Maybe create characters inspired by legends like Sjkoldr, the mythical first king of Denmark, or play on the fact that Vikings liked to infamously embellish tales of their exploits. There's so much Ubisoft has failed to capitalize on with the Vikings, outside of Bolthorn and his little tiff with Neferkha.

This is why I would have made the Ocelotl the only outlander completely native to the very southern part of the Myre, and the samurai in the same leu of the alliance of Vikings and samurai and the black prior (raven missed this but it was not highlighted enough but yes: until The truce of wyverndale the samurai actually went on the offensive during the year of the harbinger) lead a rouge faction of knight mercenaries to get rid of this possible threat, it would not entirely eliminate the knights as a “Bad guy” faction but would make them the mercenary meat shield for the samurai, who as of now have held onto their new home for quite a while and don’t like intruders.adding in this new world the Aztec empire still sacrifices prisoners of war and is expansionist to a fault, only trying to wait for this long to catch the samurai and only them off guard to reclaim their jungles form the invaders with no home of their own would make for a very interesting conflict. The samurai are the aggressors but not completely without reason, and the Aztecs though justified in retaliating take it way too care and thus become anti villains rather then heros. This time let’s make the Vikings and samurai flat out discover new outlander factions in their lands and have conflict with them, the samurai can fight Zulu warriors that use dual sword spears. The Vikings can discover a Celtic tribe that uses a two handed falx that though peaceful is forced into the war, but in the vein of pirate go rouge from the Vikings and join the outlanders. It would expand for honors cultures and people and make heathmoor feel a lot more older and complex. That the three staring factions are no more younger to these lands then the Wu Lin and outlanders they so spurn.

Juat wanted to add more to the Sohei hero idea. Because you mentioned how they've been trained in the ways of the Kyoshin, i think a better weapon choice would be the tachi. I say this because like the Kyoshin, the Sohei would have a sheath to complement the tachi. However, unlike Kyoshin who uses the kaze stance in a defensive manner, the Sohei sheaths his tachi in an offensive stance similar to Highlander. Here, Sohei has three options that lead into a chain. He can either throw a fast left heavy, a slower undodgable top heavy, or throw a bash that grants a free light attack. Just an idea to add, i really love this hero idea.

I love the idea of seeing a new Vanguard coming into the Samurai class, specially with the Sohei being used cause seeing a more Samurai version of the Shaolin would be interesting since Bhuddism also effected Japan. Personally would also love to see the Japanese flail come into the game.

It would be cool to see a Shugoki who feels being super slow as a weakness so he decides to become like a god of war/destruction or something. This leads to him getting really buff, wielding two shorter kanabos, and wearing an even more threatening Oni mask.

Alternatively, I think having a Gashadokuro as the big bad youkai would also make a lot of sense for the last two seasons, since the Gashadokuro is made out of the bones of those who fell on the battlefield and were not properly buried, something which would perhaps be in great supply due to the civil war.

Raven Knight, what if they incorporated Ryomen Sukuna from the Heian Period in his two face and four armed form as an event? Using the actual myth as inspiration for the event, such as him being a ruler, but rumors spread of him being a two faced and four armed demon. They could treat him as a sort of yokai similar to Nioh 2.

While its true that seijuro got spared, it had a reason (becouse his warriors are really strong and will only follow seijuro) but there is also other bad minor daimio who get kill, in ayu's mission she kills three other daimios who apollyon let loose along ayu becouse they are all ruthless and assholes who wont cooperate with each other, wich leads to that point you mentioned of ayu's bringing the other clans together too easily, becouse she killed the daimios of said clans leaving no other warrior of the same rank as ayu and lets be honest, the other daimios are probably not the nicest bosses to work under so their troops decide to follow ayu becouse she seem to know what she's doing. That being said your ideas are relly cool, very interesting like all your videos. Looking forward to a viking video.

Awesome video as always. This one earned you another sub, lol. Looking forward to future posts, hopefully doing similar ideas involving the Vikings, and Wu-Lin. The Wu-Lin imo are criminally underutilized after their introduction, and have tons of heroes and history that could be added to expand the lore. Likewise the Vikings seem like they’re being used as little more than mindless brutes, much akin to the Orcs from Warhammer, only concerned with fighting. Would love to see more heroes for the Wu-Lin and more depth to the Vikings.

Theory for next year of FH: Since we are getting our first Viking hero since Year 3 at the end of the year, I assume we will get another outlander [Or two] and another Samurai, we have not heard about the Samurai in a while, but the same goes for the Vikings. Also at this point just apply to write the story for future For Honor seasons, you are doing a better job than the people working on it at the moment.

Glad you mentioned the nagamaki and sohei/ikko-ikki. I've been wanting a nagamaki hero for years now. I thought maybe it could be Ayu, since they were adding heroes from the story (gryphon+warmonger), and could use a nagamaki (since it's similar to Ayu's nodachi). The armor could be a mix of kensei and orochi's armor or have historically accurate sets based off of tosei gosoku and o-yoroi

I just wish if we ever got events like this that ubi would try somthing like a coop story mission game mode to push some of the new story stuff like this. as someone who has been playing since beta ive just had no interest in the story events since its really been for me at least just been text descriptions on a gamemode. for me it feels lke ubi hasnt really tried to push anything super story related since the vortiger season witch is a shame for me because i used to be kinda invested in the story of for honor. i wanna add holden crosses presenance back in the universe is really cool but i feel we have really lost alot of the charm since the days of playing the campaign. everything aside i loved the video i wish i had even heard of anything that was going on with in the for honor universe because all because all these event youve described are really cool!

Heck I main samurai on FF14 and I haven’t met a single other person on that game who likes samurai because of Japanese culture other than anime. Same for FH and kioshin. Main him rather than orochi because he has a scabbard and i hate the spammy play of orochi

I'd be completely fine with the samurai staying as a reactive faction but there needs to be far more conflict amongst the other clans, so when another faction does inevitably show up, their reaction to that invader is already alot more motivated, not to mention that once they've repelled the enemy, certain clans may have suffered more than others in the fighting and calling for more desperate actions to keep themselves alive. It's already been told in the lore that the samurai say they're at peace, but to everyone else it just looks like constant warfare, and that's the problem. It's SAID in the lore, not shown.

So based on this analysis the samurai is in fact the best team. Both in the story and in gameplay. The way I see it is each faction fights in their own styles. Knights are more upfront, parry hungry. Vikings are more hit hard and fast. Samurai are more technical fighters and flexibility. Wulin is kinda both knight and samurai but really are more flowing. Outlanders well these guys are just here. Honestly they could have been added to the other factions but I can see why they try to keep it mostly just 3 factions (sorry Wulin)

They really should do an Imjin War themed season to replicate the animosity between the Chinese/Koreans and the Japanese. It would kill two birds with one stone and give culture and character to both the Wu Lin and Samurai. But k owing Ubisoft, it won't ever happen because they are cowards too afraid to actually represent the true culture of the factions. Japan did try to invade Korea and fought against Chinese forces multiple times. They were not invaders usually, but it did happen, and it's not like historical accuracy is a concern here (just look at their *WOODEN* armor for god's sake). Let's also take into account that Japan is known historically to adapt really fast when foreign influence is inevitable, as they did by the end of the 19th century; given how close European forces are to them in this universe, actively stalking them and growing stronger by the day, the Samurai would undoubtedly develop better technology and attempt to at least take some more land for themselves.

Batto jutsu would be very hard to do. Since batto would only be useful for a first strike kinda like that one orochi move (idk what it is called). Bow that I think of it, it is kinda weird that orochi doesn't have a sheath (maybe a rework). Probably would be more smart to get a hero with a spear/Yari, nagamaki, or small shield+something would make more sense. But if they somehow pull it off, it will be fucking cool. Some wildcard moveset/weapons would be: Tonfa (karate), a juijutsu/grappling based character with a tanto or wakizashi. Katana and pistol/revolver (since pirate only has a gun), Jo (short stick) or three section staff (could also be wulin) and tsurugi/straight bronze sword (could be a legend type character).

Expansion. Yeah, every faction in this game needed an expansion, especially Wu Lin. But devs decided to add 5 wheel to this stumbling cart. And threw away draconite. Literally one year of lore that could be used for further lore, maps, heroes, mechanics and etc is wasted. Yeah I think that draconite wasn't a mistake hate me for this

The most we need when it comes getting the samurai to come out of the myre is just one nobunaga like figure to unify the myre to expand. @@RavenKnightYT Yeah, I agree with most of the things you’re talking about. I just think all the yokai stuff is a bit too far in the fantasy direction. I mean, hell, I stoped playing For Honor in year 6 because the devs weren’t clear on whether the fantasy elements were real or not. But that’s just my opinion that caused me to stop playing I’m sure some people really enjoyed the Yokai and other fantasy stuff.
