If I can add to that statement, I gave myself this Glacier GMT version for Christmas (2024) and that clasp is simply fantastic with its on-the-fly adjustment and etched “Islander” branded! Marc, if you see this, I truly hope you plan on having this clasp on your upcoming releases in 2025 and onwards 😊 Great collab, great watch, great team!

This case, all brushed finish, same bracelet, also brushed. Ceramic black dive bezel, black, white or Silver brushed dial with red islander font and white indices. Use a seagull 2892 clone, so you have the option to do a Swiss swap later if you want and you have a heck of a dive watch. We didn’t have samurai on Long Island but we did have minutemen, so maybe that’s a good name. The Islander MinuteMan.

Amazing watch! Just opened it for my Christmas gift. Always wanted a Samurai but my wrists are too small. The angles, the textures, and that clasp…well done, Sir! Please make this 16mm clasp is available to purchase. It is smaller in length (41mm) vs the CLASP-05 (46mm), which fits a 16mm tapered bracelet better on a

Nice! This watch looks great! I have the first one 👍🏻. The dial on this new one may be a tough too small for my taste. However, the dial, indices and handset are outstanding. The tool less micro adjust clasp is a great upgrade. I am sure they will sell out quickly😊

Making this watch with a similar dial, time only, and 39mm would be a minute-one purchase for me. I remember commenting on this very channel years ago asking you to make a smaller Samurai model, but 37mm is probably a touch too small for me. Either way, I'm glad others are iterating on the Samurai design because it is, by far, the best Seiko diver design in my opinion. Very cool watch.

The understated GMT format, dimensions, with the choice and amount of lume are awesome! I only wish the face were a darker color so that the hands contrast in daylight as well as they do in the dark. Maybe the next iteration colorway could be pinecone, chestnut, or oak as a nod to the woodgrain texture (with the lume colors reversed). Call it "Fallbrook" or "Mohonk" if it suits.

Marc, the only reason there were not a bunch of GMT’s before is because there wasn’t an affordable GMT movement. I’m sure the same thing happened with day and date complications, years ago. But now it’s commonplace. If you can include it, why not! It just adds to the functionality - and on this watch, it’s not in your face at all. That’s a great looking watch.

That’s a really good looking watch in a great size. I think Islander’s nicest yet! Still, a couple of caveats…legibility for one, with silver hands over a silver dial, also the lume on everything except the green used on the GMT hand, seems weak. Especially considering the collaborator’s name of Lumeshot. Whom I apologize, but have never heard of before 🤷‍♂️

"smaller?" 14.3mm thick looks quite chunky with a 37 and change diameter. If you are going to reduce diameter 5mm would be vastly better balanced at a bit less thick. Otherwise, pretty nice. Fair value. Nice micro adjust on bracelet.
