I've had a rough life and been in and out of therapy and counseling. Something I learned right away is that, "I'm sorry your feelings were hurt," is not an honest apology. The offender puts all the ownership on the offended. If they were truly apologetic, they would renounce what they have done. They haven't because they're not sorry. Participating cast have admitted it was modeled after the Last Supper and that they are glad it was offensive. It couldn't be more blatant.
@lampanatunka89713 ай бұрын
The “I’m sorry you feel that way” is veeeeerrryyyy culturally French. A lot of people don’t know that. French people don’t apologize. Not for bumping into you, or offending you. And ESPECIALLY if they feel they did nothing wrong. This is a very normal apology from the French. It’s one in which they tell you you’re wrong if they feel they’ve done nothing wrong. The creative Director, for the Olympics said that the Feast of Dionysus painting was the inspiration for that moment in the Olympics, and not the Last Supper. I personally find that hard to believe and comparing the two paintings. I don’t think there are as many similarities in the painting of Dionysus in comparison to The Last Supper. But, because the creative Director said that was his inspiration he’s telling us we are wrong for being upset basically lol. He apologized for anyone that was offended for thinking it was the last supper but it’s not so don’t be offended.Lol. Again, the most French apology you could get.Lolol

We know who the elites are, they are in charge now and not apologizing for it. The open persecution of Christianity is here. Let the games begin. Also, the entire scene is a perversion of the last supper. The blue dionysius is a nod to Greek and Hindu pagan dieties being served as food in place of the Body of Christ. Also, dionysius is the god of wine and revelry while Jesus gives us His Blood as Wine in a solemn ceremony. The centerpiece being an overweight woman is opposite of a lean man most commonly associated with how Jesus appeared. His disciples were all men and these guest were all men dressed as women. This entire scene is what satan would do if he had his say.

I lived most of my adult life in the LGBT world, and it took everything in heaven and all the grace of God to help me to leave that life behind and lay all at the foot of the cross. It is now important that the church stop accommodating a lax nature on the subject of LGBT behavior by calling us all to live to a higher standard of purity of heart and follow the teachings of the Holy Trinity. When the church herself has incidences of being too lax on the subject of LGBT as an okay behavior, it is hard on those of us who left such lives behind and confuses those seeking a consistent and wholistic Christian approach to human sexuality as modeled by Mary, Joseph and Jesus. It is not about hating anyone who is LGBT, but about choosing to live in accordance with Christian values and purity of thought and life with Jesus and Mary. I am glad I finally listened to call of Our Lady to live in love with Jesus; I will never go back, but it would be nice if the church also continued to be loving, but firm that there is a better way to live. Peace to all people of good will.

I'm a Catholic, an art nerd, and a woman of common sense (allegedly). Here is my break down: I can plainly see the iconic poses of Da Vinci's "The Last Supper" as the view zooms out, and then I can grant the influence of "The Feast of the Gods" by Jan van Bijlert, though all of the figures are still on only one side of the table. The message I get from this is the subversion of Christendom by Paganism, especially with the arrival of Dionysus on the platter in front of (and upstaging) the "Christ figure." With the largest benefit of the doubt granted (and boulder of salt), this could speak to the Olympic games being a time honored ancient pagan event persisting into modernity, with everyone as some shade of queer being meerly an act of self-aggrandizement. I dont think "The Last Supper / Feast of the Gods" portion was even performed well. Does anyone remember the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics? This looked like high-school theater by comparison-- bad art on the best day! In the best case scenario, this was classless and ignorant, but I don't think that is the case. To the upset of Christians and modest peoples of many faiths, they featured frontal male nudity, not just before at least one child there, but they broadcasted it around the world, while singing a song encouraging us all to be naked, effectively stripped of our cultures and customs-- at the Olympics-- to what end? Perhaps to submit to lasciviousness as the characters of ancient Greek myhtos were wont to do. Don't fall for the excuse that it was only inspired by the latter painting. Cast and crew have admitted that "The Last Supper" was indeed incorporated. Furthermore, at least one performer has openly stated that they love the outrage. There was additional Christian imagery depicted with the pale horse, which apparently unsettled many who witnessed it. Then the beheaded Marie Antoinette featured with fire and angry heavy metal obviously points to the French Revolution, which, among many things, simply put, was not good for Christians. I don't want anyone to act out of rage or fear, but let's be honest. This blatantly targeted Christianity. Compounded, it really tells me that this was about sending a message; not only blasphemous, but ominous.

Wow, they're really trying to scrub it from the internet, but I was able to find one uncensored image! Blue Dionysus is wearing a "modesty pouch" or whatever they're called in show biz, to give the suggestion of nudity, while covering the bits with the least ammount of fabric possible. So it kinda seems like that was the intention, or else what's the point? "Clearly had clothes on?" The man's waist, hips, and thighs are completely bare, and major publications felt compelled to censore it, so he didn't "clearly have clothes on." At a glance, a child wouldn't notice the difference, so it seems a bit trifling to dwell on that one.

Its important to pray for these people and not to react with hatred toward them BUT it’s also dire that we recognize this as the cultural warning that it is intended to be. It’s also important to understand the coded messaging in the multiple horrific headless Marie Antoinettes singing a song from the French Revolution “Ca Ira” saying, “it’s alright, it’s alright, we will hang them all” - followed by blood pouring out of the palace. Look up the words to the song. During the French Revolution, churches were burned, priests and clergy were publicly massacred, there were literal rivers of blood in the streets and cultural neoclassical pagan worship was reinstated by the revolutionaries. So that was not just a darkly comic and tasteless blip in the ceremony, it was a Satanic statement of intent, whether the participants knew what they were doing or whether the devil was working through them. We are being told what they are going to do, what they are in the process of unleashing. Be prepared, pray, and run (don’t walk) to the Eucharist.

My heart hurts for the athletes and their families who were unknowingly made part of this. Making it to the Olympics should bring them all a sense of incredible accomplishment. Instead, these days they've worked so hard for are marked with shame, and even fear. I imagine many fear these days of competition have been overahadowed by evil, even dedicated to it, without their consent. The depravity of the "art" was awful enough, but France allowed all these excellent athletes and their families to have this culmination of their athletic excellence be marked with demonic filth, and mocking what is likely something that many of the athletes and families hold dear. It's such a shame that this was done to them. Such a shame. If it had been done properly, people would be talking about the athletes, the competitions. Instead, the world is seeing evil. My heart hurts for these athletes. France will go down in history for this, being remembered as the host country that took away the honor that was due to the athletes, and in return turned it into a demonic circus, inviting the enemy of the world into an event that is supposed to bring the world together. Oh St. Michael the archangel, protect the innocent ones, and battle the evil surrounding them.

Group conversations The opening ceremony was literally named "La Cène Sur Un Scène Sur La Seine," which means “The Last Supper on a Stage on the Seine." Our weapon of defense..... Christians at the Olympics drop to your knees in a mass prayer " Father forgive them for they know not what they do..." Bring these of this debaucherous behavior to the grace of repentance....pray the Rosary for them and the Golden Prayer.... For those of us not at the Olympics...we will join in prayer from our homes and work places

I haven't seen the video yet I just want to say there's a part of me that's really disappointed that this is the crap that we see almost right after the national Eucharistic Congress😭😭😭😭 I'm even more devastated as someone who was in rhe lgbtq community and renounced. There are a lot of good and beautiful people who genuinely struggle with gender identity or same-sex attraction or lack of swxual/romantic attracrion who don't support the sexual debauchery and depravity that's being displayed by the community. Not only is this anti-christian but they're also alienating bring harm to their own community. No I am not pro gender ideology as I said I renounced but I definitely still have compassion for that community.

It was a set of sick, so called modern French actors, obtaining satisfaction from mocking Christianity that came on stage. Let us pray to God to open their eyes and forgive them. 😮😮😮

Perhaps, by accident, the French producers actually had people become interested in the Last Supper! So many Google searches for the Last Supper were made following this debacle

*THATS ALL SUBCONSCIOUS BRAINWASHED FOR PEOPLE. As a Muslim I support you, Christians must be wary of things like this, mocking pious people is heresy.* Even though in Islamic teachings, Jesus is not a god, but Jesus peace be upon him, is a great prophet who is very very much loved by all Muslims. And Muslims also believe that Jesus will return to Earth to fight against the anti-christ (in Islam called the Dajjal) As a Muslim, I also don't like the film Nun, and have never watched it, how a devout nun is made into a demon, it's subconscious brainwashing, so that people are afraid of nuns and consider heretical teachings, all made by Hollywood! Oh my dear friends Christians, please be aware of any kind of this satanic poison!!

The Olympic opening ceremony in Paris, France was to me aesthetically distasteful. I used to think this city is the center of great art & fine culture. The ceremony lacked focus on the essentials of the event. The frequent insertion of what seems to be woke culture of the city was disparaging & poignant. What's more, the shameless display of testicles and morally offensive drag depiction of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ was utterly outrageous. Is this France today? This France is not worth the lives of the heroes of Normandy, the blood of the French martyrs and the respect of the billions of Christians worldwide !

“Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
