I've always had a little problem watching big group D&D games personally, in that there's always just too much going on and it usually ends up giving me the sensation of "feeling left out of the friend group", but this series has allowed me to be a lot more immersed and feel like I'm actually a part of something, that I'm really involved with the story even if I'm only just watching. Great stuff, honestly.

Absolutely awesome! I have watched other solo rpg videos and the people doing them have always filmed the entire thing with the camera pointed at the table. Doing it with the camera pointed at the player is so much more engaging with being able to see the player's reactions and facial expressions to what is going on. Really enjoyable!

That piece about logic and interpretation making rolling unnecessary is so important when running games. Based on this episode I bought the mythic game generator. I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out. There are so many games that I've run that never really went anywhere. I built NPCs that I was excited to use with the PCs but never got to I think this solo system will allow some of them to have their own stories.

Posting this on Episode 1 to encourage anyone who finds this and may be wondering if it is worth their time to commit to 22 episodes… YES! ABSOLUTELY! I know I’m a few years late, only just found this a couple weeks ago. I listened to an episode or two a day and just finished this morning. I wholeheartedly agree with all the positive comments already posted: Fantastic story-telling, great voice acting, camera work, editing, system/rules expertise… and very nicely packaged in 30 minute or so episodes. PS especially agree with another post saying this is more entertaining than watching a group of people. Much more efficient, much more story in a short time, and definitely more fun! Very excited to start listening to Season 2!

I like what you said about logic and interpretation obviating the need for the emulator.
