As to the incident about squidward suddenly doing crunches and chanting future, I happen to have a personal experience that's oddly similar: when I was in Junior High I played flag football and at practice one day I passed out to dehydration and heat stroke. The weird thing was, while I was passed out (I of course don't remember this part, this is just what everyone says who was there) I randomly started doing sit-ups which are basically crunches. I wasn't chanting anything, but it does seem weird how similar it is.

Sort of something like the jetsons/flintstones theory? The way I've heard it, the theory goes that the jetsons and the flintstones actually are living in the same timeline and in the same time frame, but are living separately. The theory also puts out the question of that you never see the earth (such as the jetsons) and the sky (such as with the flintstones), possibly further proving the idea. Or are you thinking of the idea of the Aladdin movie theory? Basically says that the timeline of Aladdin actually takes place in the far future, Hinted with some of the cultural references that the genie makes. The reason why we never see advanced technology in Aladdin is because it sort of goes back to the spongebob atoll radiation theory where there was a war and such and it plunged humanity back.

There's plenty of societies out there currently who are barely getting into the stone age whilst the rest of us have crazy stuff like computers phones cars stores..Just because it's far in the future doesn't mean every place keeps up! I'm guessing that's what it's like for the flintstones and the jetsons, in their universe dinosaurs never went extinct but rather got tamed by humans and one society just advanced way quicker than the other leading to a futuristic one in the sky and a prehistoric one on the land.

*Snort* the words "SB-***" is the production code of each episode in production order, this particular episode used its production code instead of an actual title which was going to be "SpongeBob 3000" but was scrapped. So with that all said, I can safely say that the number 129 was NOT meant to be taken as an angel number.

Here’s a theory! On the calendar when SpongeBob says “All 486 of them,” the calendar says 4017. And the title card said “2000 years later.” So that means this episode most likely takes place in early 2017.

I was gonna say SB-129 could be alluding to its episode number, however upon going to see what episode number it is I saw that apparent SB-129 or more accurately 129sb is an Isotope so that's probably more what its referring to since not only is Bikini Bottom thought of as Radioactive being as its origin to real life is Bikini Atoll but also Time Travel usually is depicted as needing some sort of hard to come by Radioactive (or otherwise harmful) material
@IcelandLover79137 ай бұрын

I might be late but if you think about it squidward is the reason everything in the future happens. He showed SpongeBob and Patrick how to catch jellyfish which means everything that happened after that was because squidward decided to show them. He is the reason SpongeBob and Patrick are the way they are. Everything after that was just a domino effect due to squidward being nice to sponge and pat. Since this episode is cannon I think everything that was shown actually did happen it’s just that squidward went back in time and created a loop where he is the one who caused everything in life to happen whether it’s to him or the rest of bikini bottom

Funny show I thought about this episode recently. I have my own theory. Squidward represents ur typical adult. Hates everything, very negative, annoyed easily. And he’s constantly trying to avoid SpongeBob and Patrick. As the law attraction would have it u attract what u consistently think of. So SpongeBob and Patrick are always popping up. As humans were always thinking about things we don’t want. We also waste so much time day dreaming about the past and the future and never really live in the present. When squidward finds himself in the future and does crunches, this reminds me of a seizure. And it’s that sensory feedback of him on the floor that facilitates proprioception to understand where his body is in space. He freaks out still and breaks the elevator. In this world we are born and we die ALONE. Once he realizes he can rest in peace. He realizes this is not really what he wants and is able to get back to the present where he is grateful when he sees SpongeBob and Patrick and is back in the present that he took for granted. His clarinet could’ve just been a symbol of him holding on to a grip of reality and his life. Idk that was my take on this 🤷♀️

Theory about primative SpongeBob and Patrick proving bikini atoll wrong: it could be that the time machine was designed differently to most other time machines in media, it could be designed to go to another timeline where SpongeBob and Patrick are evolved before bikini atoll. This could have happened as squidward didn't know how to use it. Bonus theory: The time machine could have been a recent invention in 4017, so, squidward could have had deadly side effects from the time machine. So, he could have died between the transition from the past and nowhere, relating to the theory that nowhere is purgatory.

theory: squidward's negative thoughts are the ''blank zone..''It's just a part of his mind.Seems like a time zone but actually wasn't even real.When he was in the future,he fell asleep and this was a dream,hence him falling back to the time machine. Basically,he was still in the future,but woke up and time travelled back to present day.

Little add-on theory to the nuke theory: Maybe they always talked and stuff, and maybe the nukes' chemicals messed with the chemicals and stuff in the fishs' brains. Just a little theory, but it isn't just a theory! It is a film theory!

Episode fact: When Squidward leaves the freezer, there is a calendar that says ''4th of march 4017 a.d'' which could imply that Squidward was stuck the in the freezer since 2017

Very minor criticism because you've used it more than once: *"the smoking bullet"* is not a real expression. You're looking for *"the smoking gun"*

I agree that Squidward froze to death and entered purgatory. The clarinet either represents his soul, or it's simply his one worldly possession

I think all Squidward had to say is "I miss Spongebob." and then he was back in the Present.
