The Scariest Jurassic Park Games You Probably Never Played

Jurassic Park games can get pretty scary or at least they used to back in the day. These fan games are great though and for Halloween I’ve compiled them in this new video ranging from Isla Nublar, Sorna and locations like the Raptor kitchen, Main Road and more. Most people probably haven’t played these, especially the Silent Hill one, but I always thought they were awesome dinosaur fun.

Honestly the closest thing to a Jurassic Park horror game we'll have is a game called "The Isle", they'll be introducing humans soon hopefully and I believe that it will capture the horror feeling of the JP books. Universal seems to be too scared to make a real JP survival game cause it'll scare the kids .-.

We have enough JP park builders. What we need is a modern remake of the old GBA tie-in game Island Attack. Where we have to struggle to survive on Isla Sorna during JP3. Or a modern remake of Jurassic Park on the Sega CD. Trying to solve puzzles with limited weapons all the while trying to acquire dinosaur eggs.

That second game with Robert Muldoon they straight up used the crying noise from Silent Hill and the sirens 😂 in the building you went into looks just like the school it's all Silent Hill sound effects 😂😂

Trespasser from 1998 is my favorite Jurassic Park game ever. Mostly because of John Hammonds (Richard Attenborough) story telling in the game 🥰. And also the scarying atmosphere off been alone

Something I really enjoyed in the rex breakout demo is taunting it to come toward you and then remaining still enough for it to lose me. The AI has the behavior of looking back and forth and scrutinizing the area it spotted you with each eye, much like in the book.

so from what i recall, that first game with the t. rex was made by one guy and is more of a tech demo. he released it as a one off and didn't release any updates for it, which is why the rex can just walk through you, you can't go into the restroom, can't get flares from the back of the vehicle, etc. it's such a shame because despite such a simple concept, someone with game dev experience could easily turn something like that into a really awesome jurassic park survival game. mind you, with how weird universal are with going after fan games lately, it's understandable that no one really wants to put in the effort.

I remember years ago before Ghostbusters: The Video Game was released and there was a game being developed some upstart group. Sony shut it down pretty quickly and fans were so disappointed. As it turned out, Sony already had something in the works. I look at this and wonder what is Universal is smoking that they don't see the response to this and don't develop something like it.

They aren't scared, they just don't see how they can market a survival horror game to kids. That's what they want. Kids to be interested in their products. Not the adults that stick with the franchise. We're an afterthought while the parents buy their kids Universal products.

Yeah. Maybe play as one of the In-gen workers stuck on that island like in the book. Maybe you lead other workers in an attempt to survive by having small groups go from bunker to bunker for supplies, weapons and ammo. Then either relocate or help other survivors out until help arrives. Someone else can help fill in the blanks to this idea if they want. I'm not creative enough to do that.

30:00 Ok this is really fricking scary,this actually reminds me of the xenomorth from Alien Isolation where you have to use stealth to get past the main enemy, in this case you have to safely evade an extremely intelligent velociraptor which is SO much worse than just simply avoiding the T Rex in the previous game,at least the T Rex can't see you when you're not moving but that doesn't matter when you're stuck in a kitchen with a very very smart velociraptor who's vision does not rely on movement,I think just before it goes for you you have a split second to hide before it starts to run straight towards you

A movie or game based on the books would be cool, but I'm sure that between those and movies there are plenty of opportunities for new stories to fit within the timeline. They won't. Resident Evil is far more popular and makes the money Capcom likes to see. Dino Crisis will not make that kind of money despite having a cult following (that's growing by the day) and a huge desire for a remaster/remake of it that's growing (by the day too). I think it's the largest desire since... I dunno, Prince of Persia on some old console? Or something else.

I’d argue that the Telltale Jurassic Park was survival horror. The only difference was that it was less gore-y and on rails. But it’s perfect for kids. I played it when I was 13.

I'm still surprised you haven't done an in depth look at JP Aftermath since it's canon. I know it's lame to just watch if you dont have VR though. I recently found a really neat dino game called Oakwood. Only takes 2 hours to finish and it's on Steam. Highly recommend if you like what Klayton showed here.

In the T-Rex Paddock game, if you go to the toilets before T-Rex breaks out, you make a glitch that she won't see you even if you walk towards her.

I think its very odd that all of these indy JP games have been allowed to be released without Universals approval. Yet the JP game Krenautican and his team are developing (the one made within the Dreams program on PS5), has been unceremonially stopped by universal in its current form. This game was being made by a non profit team and it's giving us the content we've been begging for, for the last 20 years or so. It just seems Universal come what may, will not have a horror action game associated with them. Since this is what Jurassic Park is all about, I don't get why Universal are being so unyielding on this issue.

0:14 that is the most impressive 2d pixel dinosaur Jurassic Park game i have ever seen gorgeous 2d pixel graphics. I was creating and making Unreal Engine 5 2D and 2.5D pixel games alot but 0:14 gorgeous texture graphics is what im reconsidering, reevaluate myself, and rethinking pixel games can be gorgeous too look and view at. Crazy thing with Jurassic games is that the studios etc that have the rights, always make garbage games. Then, fans come along, make fantastic games, and they get shut down by the rights-owners. It's as if the studios are determined to be as mediocre and self-destructive as possible. The people that made these games though should get together, and make a unique game where each level is different. I remember games of old, having different levels in different styles. Imagine having a JP game where level 1 is going around the Visitor Center, first person style... collecting info, maybe a few key-cards for doors. Kinda like the training level at the start of Area 51 kind of thing. Hammond talks to you, and you first-person your way through the first 5 minutes learning a few controls and getting some keys, maybe a set of night-vis goggles. Maybe a Muldoon shotgun too. Level 2 or 3 is based directly on the Rex Escape scene. Next level could be that Third Person collecting eggs level from 12:50. Which looks like an updated version of the SNES/NES/Gameboy JP game. Next level: that First-Person Raptors in the Kitchen. Final level could be a first person Alien Isolation style level, escaping the Raptors... and the endgame is to make it to the Visitor Center and open a door to let the Rex in to kill the Raptors. If all those guys got together and combined assets, they could make a game that puts the studios to shame.
