The scariest song Iever heard was "D.O.A." by a group named Bloodrock back in the early 70s. The inspiration for the song came from the writer's actual expreience of departing an airplane at an airport and watcihing the same plane (with his friend still onboard) take off and crash when it took off again. The song was written from the perspective of one of the victims who saw all the carnage and death, including his own.

nothing scarier than one by Metallica a song about a guy who loses all his limbs his eyes his ears his nose and is tongue from an exploding shell during the war lying in a bed trapped in own body that functions more like a cell and begging to be unalived

there’s a part in one particular version of the Doors song The End, where everything gives way to loud jungle sounds, with croaking and cawing jungle creatures and that cacophony scared the crap out of me.

Yeah, I was affected by media in much the same way as a child. I avoided getting into fights at school, for one because I didn't need yet another reason for my mother to go full on demon on me and possibly send me away somewhere, but partly because I didn't want to be hit in the nose, just in case something like what Bruce Willis's character did to Kim Coates's character in The Last Boy Scout were to happen. I didn't have much parental guidance during that period.

my brother had a 45 record of the Napoleon novelty song “They’re coming to take me away,” that sounded really scary to me, not least because of his creepy tone of voice, along with the “thump th thump tempo.

The moment when MJs eyes turned into cat eyes was one of the most terrifying things to me as a kid. Also the librarian in Ghostbusters, when her face changes.

I would sleep with my radio on when I was a kid and the Bob Seeger song Turn the Page would come on and the part where the saxophone played a refrain would wake me up and creep me out. for some strange reason that saxophone sounded scary to me, isolated, forlorn, empty and alone.

I remember one Metallica music video from their album Death Magnetic. It was a very real situation of US soldiers in the middle east and they came across a couple with the hood up in the car. They make you feel the intensity of is it an ambush or a real situation.

Eve of Destruction. Most famous war protest song, I think.(Vietnam) If it doesn't scare you in the current global climate, well, idk what to say. I'm only a few minutes in so Idk if you'll mention it. The year 2525 is creepy AF too

Thriller they would say it’s evil 😈 because on 40days & 40nights verse that’s biblical and a JW that’s kind of borderline so 4:27

The scariest song to me: John Lennon - Imagine! 😵💫A astonishingly well known and beloved song with lyrics that imprint the ideologies of Socialism. The most scary thing about that song, is the vast majority of people who listen to it think it is wonderful... even beautiful. The sheep are the true horror. Just look at the history of our race! :( Edit: Or, if you want to skip the more subtle, and go for the visual... The double hit of Aphex Twin (videos directed by Chris Cunningham) of "Come to Daddy" and "Rubber Johnny". I implore you to experience them both.
