In my opinion "Buried alive" is the creepiest one here because it’s probably the one that’s happened the most throughout history. The fact that the woman had scratches on her face and body makes me wonder how long she survived in there. I can’t even imagine how she felt in those last moments
@Komotau4691Ай бұрын
Grandma of my grandma faced same fate. Authorities wanted to relocate the cemetery and moved bodies. When they opened her casket they found a scratches on coffin and head turned on side. It was usual that family was there while they were doing it so it must be emotionally bad for my ancestors.
@Quiescere0Ай бұрын
I think they started putting a bell tied to the inner of the coffin afterwards, so the graveyard watcher could aid the buried alive in time

The one piece of mind is that the lack of oxygen would make delirious (can feel euphoric) and you pass out before you die... But yeah those moments before that would be a nightmare
@ZachX888Ай бұрын
@@Quiescere0 I heard that too. Except it caused false alarms, because the decaying corpse would case the limb to fall a bit, thus ringing the bell despite the body already being dead. I'm sure those cases made it MUCH creepier. Hey, that's probably where the term Graveyard Shift came from! How about that.
@seanlanglois8620Ай бұрын
The story he told with the candy man.If you look into it, it was so much worse because she was hearing them over there for a couple of days complaining to the police department.she told them that the unit next door was empty and it sounded like someone was trying to break threw the wall She was a little bit mentally challenged too so they didn't believe her. I couldn't imagine The nightmare level of terror when they finally came through.

Poor Ruth. She was actually getting back on her feet, so she could move away from the dangerous neighborhood and so she could see her grandkids more often She was mentally unstable but overall harmless. She started getting disability checks and she saved up. But then she got conned into giving a TV preacher money to “receive gods blessings” If she didn’t get conned into that she’d have moved out with her saved money. She was trying. When she told people about voices and how her mirror would respond to her, she was hearing voices. It was criminals using the walls to get from room to room. The version I heard was that he was speaking to a class of law students. The idea was he'd explained to the students that he can do this because the company that makes an installs the windows has to make them safe--specifically because of lawsuits. So while others may deride them as "ambulance chasers," they're literally making the world a safer place. The problem is that he chose the same window for his demonstration every time. It can take one impact, and even more than one, but when the stress keeps adding up it's eventually just too much.

People being buries alive wasn't *that* uncommon in the past due to lacking medical technology, people who fell into a coma for example were generally presumed dead and buried, some of which would regain consciousness before their death, that's why many coffins were installed with a little bell to alert the groundskeeper in case the person inside was alive (as this was, for very obvious reasons, a prospect that terrified people once it was discovered that it could happen, so preemptive measures started being taken

2:59 For those wondering, pic in vid is the main building of Willow Court Asylum in New Norfolk (not the house he’s talking about btw) A few of the auxiliary buildings, such as the Women and Children’s ward, have been turned into housing. The layouts of the units are a bit weird because they’ve kept it the same when they converted the building, just sectioned off into individual units. Once you know it used to be a hospital of some kind, you can pick out where certain things used to be. In the previous unit i lived in within the complex we had a ghost cat come through a lot-didn’t see it as such, but once you’ve had cats, you get to know what its like to have a cat sleep on the bed. Used to see it out the corner of my eye-little ginger cat. Went on a couple of tours after i first saw the cat, never mentioned that i had. They bring it up that several people see a ginger cat wander around every now and then. I’m just glad that it was a cat and not one of the murderous bastards that were housed in the mens ward-some of their stories are wild (some of the women and childrens too, but they’re up the other end of the building annoying another neighbour 😅)
