I don’t see it happening simply because of the surrounding talent the bucks have. He got 64 cause the pacers paint defense is historically bad but they wouldn’t let him completely blow a team out like that because the only way it could happen is during a blowout and he would get rested

Ok. Im tired of pointing this out but the Pacers took 9 points off the lead in about a minute. So when the Bucks were down to a 10 point lead with 2 min left it was the right call to put starters back in and protect that lead. Not padding. Not a reason for the Pacers to throw a temper tantrum.

I don't get the whole idea of "not in the spirit of game". Okay, last possession with 20pts lead when no one is defending and the game is over. Maybe do a logo shot or something. But here, fans paid for at least 48 minutes if basketball. Not 36 minutes of basketball and 12 minutes of catering pussies. If I was Giannis I would score that 100 next time I see Pacers and play whole 48 minutes.

Giannis is absolutely my favorite player in today's NBA, he reminds me of Kobe with his drive and will to win, and I do think Wilt is the only player we can compare him to in terms of all around skill set.

I think we can think of a few more. If you can compare him to Wilt then you can compare him to Bill Russell. He was a track star prior to the NBA like Wilt and he's closer in height to Giannis. He was a freak too just Wilt was a more obvious freak of the time. Personally I think of Shawn Kemp though.

@chrisgetz9787

constant running and dunking is extremely hard. however that's all he does. Gianni's has extreme physicality, extreme trainability, extreme leadership, extreme working ethic. he is pure dominance and nth more. of course for the NBA that's more than enough. however he can't pass, shoot or dribble. and his basketball intelligence is average. if you for example put him and jokic in a wheelchair and tell them to play basketball, jokic will have the same statistics and Giannis will have zero. it's not a bad thing to be dominant. many great players were nth but dominance, for example Shaquille Oneal. But he is far away for being an all around player. to put it in other words if he had the abilities of KD/Luka while retaining his dominance he could eat MJ for breakfast. But this is not going to happen. Not in this universe...

@@chrisgetz9787so why hasn’t rudy gobert done anything that remotely resembles Giannis? Not even got one play? Cut the bullshit. When has he ever done anything that even resembles Giannis ? Cut the bullshit.
@WillLI05
@WillLI05 4 ай бұрын
@@chrisgetz9787 This post is just plain wrong. Giannis can dribble and pass very well. Passing is what tore down the 'wall' strategy. That's literally how you beat it. he's not one of the best passers in the league by any margin, but he is an above average passer(averaging 5.5 assist or higher per game for the last 6 years, and is currently the LEAGUE LEADER in assist at the power forward position). And his dribbling isn't fancy but it's there. Keeping the ball in possession when going coast to cost, his knifing through eh lane, he has the dribbles, just he doesn't have "dribble moves". His defense is also great, and his ability to read the offense for help defense is great.(Almost every year of his career he has averaged at least 1 block and 1 steal per game he is league leader for PFs in steals this season right now too.) It is mad disrespectful and totally ignorant to say Giannis is just his athleticism. Just because he's not in the top 10 in something doesn't mean he's trash at it. Also Shaq had freakin' amazing fundamentals in the post not just athleticism. It's just that he never needed it past his first couple of years cause no one could keep up. And for the record only 17% of Giannis' shot attempts are dunks. It's higher than average, but it is by no means all he does. And the fact that he can get to the rim to dunk that much is very clear that he's doing more than running and dunking, because otherwise he'd be easy to stop, and he wouldn't be having 40 point nights cause he's not pushing people out of the way and forcing his dunks like Shaq was. He's making opportunities for it. (Shaq was 20% dunks for the record)

Bro.... as a coach he has probably said this himself... "The game isn't over, until it's over". The Bucks were playing to win and if the Pacers coach doesn't like that, then maybe he should have fired his team up to play harder to try and win (which they even brought the lead down to 10 with 2 minutes left so if he didn't quit at the 6 minute mark, maybe they could've even come back).

That's a LIE!! The rookie getting the matchball, because he scored his first points, was never a thing in NBA. It was invented by the Pacers for obvious reasons. Giannis is the most disrespected NBA player in the history of this sport and that's not a good picture, for the NBA or the USA as a nation. Who would have thought, that USA, would show such a racist face, to a fellow athlete, just because he was born in Greece and not in the USA,when he already lives in the states since he was a kid. That skiny kid, that none but the Bucks believed in him... Well, who lost and who won? Guess who haters!!! Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!

Giannis the best player off the dribble yo the rack in NBA history. There has never been a more dominant force off the dribble to the basket. People talk about him going to the line a lot but these people fail to acknowledge that Giannis is fouled much more than they are called because it's almost impossible to defend him off the dribble to the basket. What makes Giannis unique is he is the best we've ever seen at something. That's the story that's missesd.

13:06 "25 Points, 10 Rebounds, 5 Assists, 1 Block and 1 Steal. That's even beyond some of the sill great numbers Wilt put up.. " Dude... they didn't track Blocks or Steals in Wilt's time... they started once Wilt retired. Do you honestly think Wilt didn't average 1 block and 1 steal? In 63-64 Wilt averaged 37/22/5 they didn't track blocks or steals but many have claimed he on usual had over 10 blocks a game, and considering he played 46 MPG he likely had steals as he was very good at getting them. From 65-68 Wilt averaged 27.3 PPG, 24.2 RPG, 7.2 APG on 60% from the field. Again Wilt likely averaged far more than 1 block and 1 steal a game. The only reason it doesn't appear on the 'lists' is because they didn't officially track blocks or steals. In 1968 Wilt put up 53 points, 32 rebounds, 14 assists, 24 blocks, and 11 steals. So yeah c'mon now.. you KNOW Wilt likely easily eclipsed 25 points 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block and 1 steal over multiple seasons. The only reason Giannis's name appears on that list and Wilt's doesn't is because they didn't officially track blocks and steals during his time. He and a lot of other historic basketball players have been robbed in that sense because the "historical tally of the all time lists" is incomplete without it. Wilt would probably be Number 1 All Time in Blocks if they were tracked and likely as a big man be way up there in steals as well.

That's 2 3's and a turnover and the crowd is gonna go quiet on that possession.

there’s something that no one knows about gianni he grew up at sepolia at the same block with my grandparents which i visited very often, i was young and giannis was probably 16 or 17 at the time, we where driving home late with my parents and gone past the neighborhood basketball court, it was 3 in the morning and my dad stoped to watch him (he’s an ex basketball player in greece) my dad asked him what he is doing so late, as it was dangerous to be out at that time gianni’s said: i want to hit 3 threes in a row before i go, my dad explained me that he is what he calls a “mule” meaning determined and stubborn, he is risking his life just to hit the threes. he then said that one day he’ll be a great player. giannis has no ceiling until he gets what he wants he will never stop or rest

Saying he's one of the best ever is bad enough, but compare his mentality to that of guys like Jordan, Kobe or even worse Bird is crazy (at least you didn't compare it to Bill's, that would have been disgraceful). I mean, this is a guys that has had the same exact skill at every little detail of the game for 5 years while in his prime (little skill for most things, as he's mostly athleticism), that weak mentality (not working for improving, just to worsen significantly his shot selection after he chose to neglect his shot and shooting mechanic while bulking up to just be a big and athletic dude) can't be compared to that of some of the greatest competitors in the sport's history Him winning a ring against not much competition is nothing to brag about historically, and that happening when he was 26 isn't either. At 26 players are in the middle of their primes, and often their peaks. Saying "at 26" as if that was young in the NBA world or made it more impressive than if he was 29 is just foolish at best Also he didn't have a top 30 close out game in NBA history, casual, not even close. But there's nothing t expect from a casual that thinks the NBA started in 2015. Bc, newsflash kiddo, more points doesn't mean better, not by a long shot And it seems like he gave up long ago too, that's why he's been the same no skill player for 6 years, that's why he doesn't work on things that could help his game and team in the off season after losing early in the POs, that's why he doesn't seem worried that he loses in the POs, that's why he keeps only working on his physique and not his skill (1 or 2 weeks with Hakeem where he barely listens to him is literally nothing, otherwise just take a look at Lebron) Hungry for what? More bulking up? Bc that is literally the only thing he's been hungry for the past 2.5 years Giannis simply put doesn't have the stamina to get nowhere near close to 100. Bc I don't know if you've noticed, but almost all his points are layups, dunks or shots in the paint, where he often finds the most resistance and physicality a player can find today, and mostly being him bc of the way he plays. He'd literally only break it if the other team literally didn't defend one bit, just stood there watching him lay it in every possession Had assists been counted as they are today in Wilt's time he'd have average way over 5 for his entire career lol Giannis can't be a top 50 player ever, he doesn't have the skill, mentality or the opposition and league credibility to help him get nowhere near close to that

What? That’s he’s just an overhyped finisher around the rims? While every great players need other great players to win it all, take away the passers on his team and what can he do? He can’t dribble he can’t create his own shots…what can he do?

Bro…do you even fucking watch his games or have you been living off of the one clip in like 2017 of harden saying he doesn’t have skill?

He can dribble, he has great control, but he uses it to avoid players on the way to the rim, he uses his amazing footwork recently improved by hakeem. He has a solid short mid range game and he can create whatever he wants. He has great facilitation numbers of his own too, you’re just too fucking dense to actually watch a game.

He has no dribble…I have no stats but I believe over 75% of his field goals were assisted…all he has is his length and speed…let’s see when he turns old and loses all that, what else he has left…
