Watching my sister raise her daughter was a great for when I have kids. Her thought is don’t start bad habits with kids and then you don’t have to break bad habits

There are many adverts on TV for water and all supermarkets have at least one Isle dedicated to different types and brands of water ( all hugely overpriced ) but it's PARENTS who are giving children juices from a very young age then obviously kids don't want bland boring water......look at the amount of fizzy drinks available ( mostly cheap ) When I was a child many years ago we had 2 bottles of pop on a Friday night to share with all my family...I think there were about 5 flavours ( dandelion and burdock and ice cream soda being my faves )and it was delivered by a pop man because shops didn't stock it in those days ...it was a treat and once it had gone there was no more until the following Friday. I can remember running inside my house for a huge glass of water in-between playing in the street...and there was a lovely old fashion copper water fountain in every school playground...probably installed in the victorian period...that's another thing..children are more sedentary so probably don't build up a great thirst...times have changed and unfortunately not for the better.

A book was written in the 70s called white and deadly, all about sugar and how deadly it is. It named sugarcane the main cause of cancer if I remember rightly. How in the world has it taken nearly 40 years to get this out into the public domain? Oh wait, food companies woukd have a lot to lose
