If anyone visits Southern Spain, the FSSP has a chapel in Jerez de la Frontera, adoration everyday at 6pm Mass at 7:30pm M-F Sat&Sun at 7pm. We have but one chapel in Spain, but 9 Spanish seminarians in Germany. It's a start, pray for them. BTW ICKSP has a few chapels throughout, added a chapel recently

How curious that the only ones ever accused of making an idol out of the Mass are traditional Catholics. Of course, having the Pachamama enthroned at the NO celebrated in Saint Peter's was never idiolatry. The idolatry began when it was thought that if the Mass were reformed according to the culture of the time we would all become good Catholics (of course before we never were because we were ignorant.) We were told to put our trust in the Princes of the liturgical movement aided and abetted by the Princes of the Church. Scripture has something to say about putting your trust in Princes .

With all the distractions at the Novus Ordo Mass, and the pray-full respect at the Latin Mass it’s easy to wish to attend the Latin Liturgical Rite. The same all over the world where ever It’s Offered. Holy and profoundly Offered not celebrated no need to clap. Viva Cristo Rey

Both the Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo Mass are pleasing to God. The trouble is rooted in human attitudes - sowing bad seeds which will grow into choking thistles. This cannot be acceptable to God. God sent his son Jesus to us - have we still not understood the message of the Gospel? All this venom - this constant venom cannot be from God. 'O that today you would listen to his voice, Harden not your hearts!' We all need to think hard and reflect on our own words - and take responsibility.

It is true, the only way to renew the Church is to become saints; to be a witness to life and open to life; and to sacrifice our lives to walk the way of the cross so that we are truly visible as people of Christ in the world. It is no good claiming to have faith, going to mass every week if we live as the pagans and the atheists live! This has been our downfall because we can't pass on a faith that we don't really have!

Many have, it was issued in 1570 and standardized the Roman Rite with only Eucharistic Prayer 1 (Roman Canon). All Forms of the Roman Rite not in existence within 200 years were suppressed. The Bregan Rite in Portugal is still celebrated, the Mozarabic in Spain, Toledo is celebrated and the Ambrosian in Milan. The Gallican form, closely related to the Mozarabic and Bregan was suppressed. In England, had Pope Henry the VIII not broke, the so called Sarum Form of the Roman Rite would still have been allowed to be celebrated.

The problem with the Church at the present time is that its structure and language is too Romanized where everything has to go through Rome and have to be explained and adapted to the Roman mindset. It wasn't this way in the early Church. In the early Church there was a Roman, Jewish, Greek and even Coptic understanding of the faith while still being faithful to the Apostolic teaching. The Church is at present in a transition phase moving from a Romanized way of doing things to becoming once more universal as during the early Church. So far it has managed to a certain degree to make its faith and doctrines understood by the contemporary world. However the structure has not been adapted accordingly. This is where the problem comes in and which is causing the schism where those who cannot accept natural organic change break away wanting to stay in a past that no longer exist. Hopefully when the Synodal process is completed the Church will have a new structure making the organization and institution more able to spread the Apostolic faith that will help people of all nationalities and language groups having greater union with God instead of only those who are Romanized or undertand the Roman mindset. If we have to keep explaining Church terminology everytime we want to talk about the faith because of its Latinized terms rather than having terminology that is obvious needing no explanation then the Church and its message of salvation will not be understood or accepted. Then people complain that the faith is dying or in a comatose state. Yet having the faith heard in a language people are used to and using structures people are used to rather than outdated structures will help the faith to reawaken and come out of the comatose state. This is where I see the problem lie with the Latin Mass and the traditionalist movement in the Church. They insist that the only way to come to faith and union with God is through the Roman lens and accusing anyone trying to see faith and union with God through a different lens whether it is a Greek, Russian or African lens as heretics or apostates. This is why I see pope Francis coming down on those wanting the Latin Mass because they have weaponised the Latin Mass to the point that the essence of their faith revolves around which Mass is being said and externals like if women should wear the veil at Mass rather than focusing on union with God. If those favoring the Latin Mass were not so dogmatic about it there would be less need for pope Francis to restrict the use of the Latin Mass.
