My tactic was to permit it after a 1 day break, then 2 day break, then 3 day break, and so on. It was very effective for me. Don't think about stopping forever, think rather "not now", an ever-increasing "not now". I've been relatively free for a few years now with the odd relapse. The important thing is to not be discouraged by them. Addiction is a lifelong battle, but it's worth it to combat. I sometimes wonder whether I would have certain fetishes if it weren't for pornography. Is it me, or is it the tolerance from addiction that rewired me? I may never know.

Mkozy111 Fair enough, you have a right to disagree. What I meant was the point of this video is not the act of masturbating, it is the act of masturbating to a particular media input. The problem here is not the masturbating, it is the media. People are taking this in a way to say "this means masturbating is wrong and bad for you" but I am saying - the video's point is to say that PORN is not helpful and may be a harmful habit. It is not the act of pleasuring yourself, it is the act of this pleasure being associated with what porn decides to show as 'arousing'. Because porn isn't exactly reflective of real life experiences, you are making yourself dependent on these sorts of stimulation which aren't like real life. And this is harmful. It means you may not be able to get hard in real life situations, or have weird expectations, or may find normal things unsexy because you have associated sexual feelings with something that is quite different. This isn't to say that everyone gets aroused by the same thing, but mainstream porn is very clinical and leaves out a lot of things that normal people (regardless of gender) can find arousing and stimulating. This was my point.
