Find Will on @Wstorr Will Storr is part journalist, investigator, novelist and educator. Above all though he is a storyteller. He has been named New Journalist of the Year and Feature Writer of the Year, and has won a National Press Club award for excellence. His work has appeared in The Guardian Weekend, The Sunday Times Magazine, The New Yorker and Esquire among many other titles. He is the author of four critically acclaimed books and his latest book - Selfie: How We Became So Self-Obsessed and What It’s Doing to Us - was released recently in June 2017. In its review of Selfie, the FT described Storr as “an electrifying analyst of Internet culture.” This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Because of ones temporalobepilepsy I experience several seconds a day/night, but you must understand I have had this (20 second of flashing/stimulating the temporal lobe) take place ever since I can remember speaking in the English language. As an infant I couldn’t even notice it. It’s the cliché 1000-yard stare. I take noting for the actual flash although I have read some ‘Doctors?’ have a way of silencing or curing this significant source of turning off my conscious and linguistically takes in information that has not only convinced me that it’s a form of ‘tapping-down-the-streams-of-our unconscious’s’. These flashes have open up-I also speak in tongues of an addicted Hypergraphicalist! On any type receipts, envelopes, standard-typing-paper, napkins, scraps, post-it-notes
