Still here tapping away listening to your magic fingers. I am maybe auld but I still tap away with the auld twinkle toes. I used to drum but the arms are not for long distances now as I am in my nineties😝😝

Gone yer sel, young man. You are very good at the box. I was a drummer in a few Scottish bands in my life & loved the tones of the accordian. As an old man, I had to hang up my sticks at 85, but the old foot taps like a youngster.

Bought this record in the 1970's as well. Love the clarity of his playing; very versatile especially with the "French Musette" numbers.

Jimmy Cassidy won the junior Scottish championship I think aged 16 and won the senior a year later in both traditional and classical a year later. He is a real virtuoso whom I heard live several times back in the 70s and 80s. He’s the best I’ve heard by quite a way. Dermot O-Brien was the only one who came close at the time.

I had this album in the very early 70's and used to practice these pieces on the guitar. It said on the album that he'd won the Jimmy Shand Shield. I wonder what he's doing now?
@Avino2559 жыл бұрын
Yes your right he did win the Jimmy Shand Shield and quite few more awards, If you search Jimmy Cassidy you will find a couple of video`s of him from this year. anyway Keep on Rocking.
