The Seahawks definitely need to concentrate on the offensive line. We have some of the best receivers and running backs in the league.

(rant incoming, sorry) Thank you for discussing the O-line - Too many are talking about which QBs the 'hawks should go after in the off season. While Geno definitely falls into the average-to-good range in his position and would be better as a back-up, he would have played better had he been given more time to go thru his progression. Instead, as you said, he was given little-to-no time and too often threw to a spot "just because he could". The offensive line needs a good shake-up and holes filled to give whoever the next season's QB turns out to be. Spare no one and send a stern message - Step up or step aside. It doesn't matter which QB we go with if he finds himself too often and too quickly being chased out of the pocket, or worse, sacked. As for QB's, we should first look at the current roster; back-up QB Sam Howell, former Viking QB Jaren Hall who was just signed off the practice squad, and John Rys Plumlee also signed off the practice squad and will probably taking the place of TE Brady Russell (IR, foot). Are any of the three above better than Geno? Could JRP be the surprising break-out rookie with Geno as a serviceable back-up? Is there any optimism that Howell or Hall steps up in the spring and develops into the effective QB that takes the team deep into the play-offs? Or are these three also just "okay" and would be better as back-ups? If there is a firm consensus at all levels of the organization that none of the four current QBs can take the team into the play-offs then we should make a rational, logical decision to trade for the best we can get without sacrificing future seasons. In politics they say "It's the economy, stupid." For the Seahawks, except for a very few outstanding years, the mantra has all too often been "It's the O-line, stupid." Get the O-Line tightened up! Start there! Priority #1! (end rant, sorry. Just an older fan who has been following the Seahawks since they played their first game. Had to get it off my chest.)
