Is unintentional imagination even possible? Maybe as an idea but as a phenomenon…? Im not so sure; I think imagination somehow has to be intentional has it might as well be part of imagination in and of itself.

@sameldji2479 we are unintentionally imagine things all the time, during games and in the rest of our lives.

@@sameldji2479 I have collected years of anecdotal evidence of intentional and unintentional imagination. One question I ask is for people to imagine a room. No context and No details given. "imagine a room." The results show varying degrees of assumption of context or preference for aesthetics and varying degrees of detail. Some of these came with no thought (unbidden) and some by choice (bidden). It's cool~

@@Runeslinger I think that assumption are thoughts and preferences as well; there is something contradictory here saying that these comes with no thoughts. Its bound by thinking and thinking is always intentional. Remember Descartes? Anyhow, that might be some sauce for a chat over a very long commute sometimes!

Timely to reference, Star Wars FFG RPG is very conducive to that story engagement and improv to push the narrative, which I know you are aware of from your own time playing the game. Most games can do it, but some enable it more than others.
