Thanks! I think I may have found the one Rat pedal that I'll keep, and sell the others.

holy crap another great demo. But I gotta cool it. Allllmost bought it but realized I already bought a few Joyo pedals because of your videos and now I never use em haha. I guess you know how to get optimal sounds from your gear much more than I do

That experience comes with time, and many errors along the way. Sometimes I sound like total garbage, but sometimes I nail a tone that I like. This one is easy to dial in. :)

Cool. I noticed the distortion pedal was mostly around noon. I guess the amp was on a clean-ish dial. The OG was superb.

I could have cranked the gain, but was getting some killer tones at lower settings, so I ran with it.

I always enjoy hearing you play that Gretsch! Does this pedal do the Triangle RAT and the Rams Head RAT? ;-)

I did not know those existed. To your question, it does not.

@@TheToneLounge just a joke/reference to the JHS Muff-aletta which has ALL the MUFFS!

Question. I find these types of JHS pedal to be plagued with a lot of background noise/buzz issues. I haven't tried the RAT but did have both the Muff and TS models. Sold them both because of that very same issue. Did you experience this with this version?
@TheToneLounge4 ай бұрын
I don't find this one any noisier than the original pedal. As for the Muff, they are noisy to begin with.
@albertomunoz48674 ай бұрын
@@TheToneLounge Yeah. It's really hard to put my finger on it. Having had single mode Muff or TS pedals. The background noise in the JHS's didn't feel normal in comparison. I appreciate the response! Great Video!

Great playing but the pedal sounds so brittle, terrible!

Rat style pedals have that sonic print to them. I actually found this pedals to be the smoothest example of a Rat that I've tried so far.
@Damdochax4 ай бұрын
I guess I’m measuring it to my old rat pedal which has a creamy smooth tone. Anyway, great video. Cheers..

I’m trying not to make negative posts……. so no comment (….except for: get a decent Plexi Marshall and forget pedals.) Ps the playing was good!

There is always a compromise. Some amos do clean well, others do gain well. Having an amp that does both very well is rare. Some choose clean amps and select choice pedals for gain.
