God bless him. Im a Catholic and formerly Republican, but my heart in republicanism has died. Ireland has become an imperialist joke.. an EU state of puppets, more interested in immigration and Brussels. Ireland as a state has died, and the likes of Gusty is needed. I say that because we need working class people from both sides, more interested in the rights of the people who where born and bred on this island to flourish and live in peace

I respect Gusty Spence for his apology to the loved ones of innocent Catholics killed in the Troubles. On the other hand he started that trend, as he was tried and convicted for the murder of innocent Catholics

Modern Loyalism is totally devoid of men of character, gone are the days of decent men like Gusty and David Ervine. Now we're left with the likes of Sammy Wilson, Paisley jr and Jamie fucking Bryson. An awful state of affairs. I say that as a nationalist and a believer in a united Ireland.

@@davidmcclymont6326 Thievery has been part and parcel of these people's 'culture ' since the 1500s hence being , shat , out of Britain in the plantation of Ulster. They ( reivers) were a , for the best part , nomadic demographic having frequently to ,flit, either side of the English/Scottish border. Many of the most , wanted, for rustling was a hanging matter ,took to the high seas as an escape, where their criminal proclivities found a new aquatic home in piracy. Eventually James the first of England , a Scot , hit upon the idea of , shipping them out , wholesale, to Ulster ,where their' talents ' could be utilised in support of the murderous garrisons already situated there. Not a man , woman, child nor presumably a post office has been safe since.

Inserting Fenian for the offensive N term and we have , what I feel is the sentiment, of the Reivers and an insight to the mentality of the Shankill demographic.

The RUC , it is true , when it came to loyalists, would often craft statements which bordered on ludicrous thus with a competent brief they would invariably walk. Or as in the case of the Glenanne gang , comprising of UVF, UDR AND RUC members were convicted of lesser charges and give sentences which a shoplifter would laugh at.

@@williamacheson8188 Republicans such as Joe Cahill, Joe McCann and Martin Meehan foretold what would unfold , that the loyalist pogroms upon the nationalist population would abate ,then the British army and government would assume the role of the RUC who had ran amok in Belfast and Derry , the same army and government who had installed the entire same shambles in the first place. I would imagine it would be akin to asking the Kray twins to protect you from doctor Crippen. Ordinary nationalists stood to be murdered in their home for having the temerity to want equality , and would have turned to Satan himself for protection, with hindsight they'd have been better off.

@@jamesoneill2933 You are clearly drilled in exploitation techniques with rhetoric like foretold, abate, what did you expect with their deployment to Ulster. As for the RUC all they did during the Derry rioting in 69 was charging with baton and throwing the stones that had been thrown at them. It's very mild tactics when you look at Rwanda, Ukraine etc? Bernadette, the so called savour wanted Catholics in Belfast, to stretch the RUC beyond It's limits, which led to Bombay Street and other Catholics who lived on Protestants Streets burned out. Catholics could easily have gotten equal rights without the bombs and guns. The problems Catholics had was they wanted a fight, Provisionals emerged and did terrible things to their own people Scappaticci, who was a serial killer! What did these so called great men like Joe and Martin foresee? Did the British army clear out once the province was save. Yes, but along comes Omagh bombing try thinking outside the box. Rather than words people used decades ago. From 69 right up to 72 Catholics had their No go areas, pogroms? that was in the 20s? just to educate a rhetoric drilled individual. It wasn't until 72 Protestants got sectarian particularly Bloody Friday. Of course you also had the term the Protestants "backlash' in the media 3 and half years, Catholics had gained political advantages but it became apparent they wanted British Protestants who were poor and suffering like their Catholic neighbours out and a United Ireland was what it was all about? 2023 here we are still carrying the British money in are pockets. And yes a do have the blue passport. Proud. God save the king!!!
