This describes my husband and I. We met in 80 I was 19. Being the casual 80s I did not realize how serious he was and he was too proud to come get me when he found out I had started dating someone. Until he realized that my oldest son could be his. He came to tell me, I told him go away and never gave him a chance as I was married to the father of my 2nd child by then and adamant I would not cheat again. He never tried again and spent his life with anger issues with men and infidelity with the 5 other women he married...all less than a year. For the 1st time my son has a real father in his life and i know the truth. We haven't been apart since the first day God realigned us, married 5 years, blessed every day

Love Survivor's songs and the incredible vocals of Jimi Jamison. Brings back so many feelings and memories both good and bad. Was in love with someone who broke my heart. Together 2 years. Thought we had a love that would last forever, but life has a way of changing everything. Wish I could erase those memories, but they keep creeping back into my mind. My heart is still broken to this day. Have had relationships since then, but will never be as it was then. Life goes on and you never know what is around the next corner. 😢

This is one of my favorite song of all, because I had just gotten back with the one man I loved most after 10 years and several times I had thought I'd lost him for good but just a while before I broke up with my current boyfriend, I found he was divorced and living with his mom so I just sent him a card and hoped I'd hear from him. A few months went by and I had kinda forgot about it and thought it just wasn't meant to be. I had just found out that the guy who I had been seeing had been lying to me and cheating on me for months. I was so hurt and angry that he had betrayed my trust. He acted like it was no big deal. It was just a few days later and my phone rang and I knew his voice the minute I heard it. We laughed and talked for about an hour and made plans to go out for drinks in e few days. I was so excited and so happy to see him. Within a few hours we were back together as if nothing had ever come between us. I was so ecstatic, I was walking on air for weeks. Things were better than they had ever been before. He was seeing me more and calling me every day, he even took me to meet his grandma, aunt and uncle and I had dinner with him and his mother. I found out that his father had been friends with my uncle. I had gone to school with his cousins and his 2nd cousin had introduced us in Junior year of high school. I would run into him and his friends all that summer and at the end of the summer we ended up at the same party and by the end of the night we were together. We were both very happy the first 6 months in spite of several obstacles. I loved him more than I thought possible and he said he loved me and couldn't wait to marry me, that I was the best thing that ever happened to him. I guess we were star crossed lovers that just weren't meant to be but I don't regret a minute and I 'd give anything if things had turned out differently. He and I broke up up a little over a year later and 12 yrs after that he had drank himself to death at 44 yrs old and 3 months. I will always love him and miss him.
