Great video. They have all of the finishers and scorers they need so the PG position will be pivital. Kidd is the perfect PG for this team being that he's the ultimate passer and has the respect of everyone. He also has respect for the outlet pass which very few PGs do. He's big enough to guard those international guards and his size will make a difference in the more physical internation game. Williams is the second choice because of his size. CP3, although great, might be too small.

This was a preview of the olympics, this is the team the US sent to the FIBA Americas tournament to qualify for the Olympic games and Chris Paul wasn't on this one but on the Olympic one. If you click more info it explains it all.

Read more info on the side, the US team works with 33 NBA players and this is the team they sent to the tournament that qualified them for the Olympics and Wade wasn't on that squad (I think injury) and they later put him on the Olympic Squad. Also same with Chris Paul, didn't play in the FIBA tournament and some players like Mike Miller and Amare didn't play in the Olympics.

Its because I made this mix after the FIBA Americas Tournament in 2007 and so all the video is from that tournament as well as the roster. Team USA works from a pool of 33 players right now and its just that they tweaked the roster a bit for the Olympics.

@DukeLacrosse13 I think its more the fact that dunks and three point shots work better for highlight reels along with circus layups and game winners. There's alot of players who can do other things like mid range jumpers (ex: rip hamilton) coming off screens, block shots, rebound, steal, play good D, but usually that doesn't make a highlight reel.

He's the best second option PG on Team USA over Paul because of his size, but Kidd is the best PG for this team no doubt. He's the best passer, and he respects not just the assist but giving the ball up early and igniting the break. Most importantly, he has the respect of all of the players and will be able to keep the egos in check. That is vital to regaining the gold for the PG to keep all the players in line. Kidd played perfectly in this tournament.

Read the annotations or the info on the right, this isn't the team that played in the Olympics but the one that played in the FIBA tournament, same core and the US team works from a pool of 33 players so that's why there are some differences in the teams that went to FIBA and the Olympics. @ChicagoBulls92 There's some pretty key differences on that team. Reggie Miller, Shaq, Penny Hardaway, Gary Payton, Hakeem Olajuwon, Grant Hill, Mitch Richmond. Only five people remained from the 1992 Dream Team, so it wasn't "pretty much the same people".

@14isuck exactly, when did I say this was the Beijing team..from the info: A mix of possibly the second coming of the USA Basketball Dream Team. Footage from FIBA Americas 2007 to the song Second Coming by Juelz Santana and Just Blaze. This team is not completely accurate as Team USA works from a pool of 33 players and the ones in the video were the 12 players selected to play in the FIBA Americas 2007 tournament although the official 12 man roster for the Olympics in Bejing is different.

We have more than enough for each position on the team except for one position. And that's center. Dwight Howard of course is our main guy, but Amare Stoudemire is really a true forward and Tyson Chandler didn't really play in fiba and barely got minutes. The second center position should be offered to Marcus Camby, who leads the league in blocks, and second in rebounds after howard. Anyone agree? did they even invite him to try out?

Billups isn't playing this year and KG refused an invitation to try out. Those both are out. But there aren't any tryouts this year for the team so they announced that they'll disclose the usa roster on monday. my guess is probably j kidd, chris paul, d williams, kobe, michael redd, lebron james, paul pierce (possible after finals performance), carmelo, chris bosh, amare (maybe at pf), chandler, and dwight howard. dwyane wade definitely not there.
