So Adrev Affiliate, the third party that "represents " oversimplified has claimed all the oversimplified videos on the channel. It's a shame

Ah what a bummer! So there won't be a part 2 to watch then? i really love your oversimplified-videos where you deep dive into some more stuff!

Just wanted to say thank you for introducing me to this channel. I probably would’ve never discovered Oversimplified if not for your reaction to it and now he’s become one of my favorite channels. It’s insane how this guy can make learning about historical wars so entertaining and hilarious.

Really happy this came out so fast after you finished the first punic war. Was definitely looking forward to it.

Fun fact: While the term World War 1 wasn't used before 1939, the phrase First World War appeared as early as 1914.

One of the most dangerous things an empire can do is hire a ton of mercenaries, and then NOT pay them.

Funny rhing about Hannibal crossing a mountain range... Seluceus from the diodachi did it first with a much better survival rate

I’m pretty Hannibal also just sent home a lot of his army prior to crossing the alps, leaving all the men he thought had no chance or lacked the loyalty to follow him through terrible conditions to defend Spain

Jack, I second the unbiased history Rome by Dovah as another top comment put it. It is an hilarious and horribly biased (that's the funny part) rendition of Roman history (including mythology), from the Trojan War all the way to Justinian the Great from the Roman prespective His shock humour reminds me a bit of ssethzeentach, though his style is still his own

Yes... It's a somewhat obscure reference to Napoleon getting the idea of reforming the school system with the introduction of Lycées while in Sicily.

Does anyone know if Barcelona is named after hamilcar?
@mulrich8 ай бұрын
"Some older sources suggest that the city may have been named after the Carthaginian general Hamilcar Barca, who was supposed to have founded the city in the 3rd century BC, but there is no evidence that Barcelona was ever a Carthaginian settlement, or that its name in antiquity, Barcino, had any connection with the Barcid family of Hamilcar."
