interesting approach to synthesize snares. i'm not too fond of unfiltred white noise but with a bit of post processing it could be great

Yeah of course. It's all about making many different snare variations and seeing what fits in your song, also everyone's got their own taste. Using a convolver might help

Actually that's funny, becuase I use like almost zero shortcuts. It's hard to remember them all and I just use my mouse. I only soemtimes use zoom shortcuts like holding CTRL or ALT with mousewheel or using shift and left mouse inside a recorded sample to move the position.. XD
