So while we were working on installing our new Rock Krawler long arm kit and rear 3 link setup on our Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon - we figured we'd take a moment to show you how it's all made! And don't worry, we'll be getting right back to the install itself right after this info-packed segment!
Hope you all enjoy the video!

There you have it...for all the RK hater know it alls that swear RK is made overseas...looks in-house to me in the heart of The Empire State! Where people get this misinformation leaves me dumbfounded! Don't forget to grab a Krawler Joint removal tool in case you need to rebuild. #teamRK

@@dwizl7213 I wouldn't say I'm a hater, but I am a believer of proven facts. I enjoy my metalcloak products because I dont worry about joints going bad(no maintenance, flex is great, and joints dont squeak when they get dirty) the arms dont rust after a winter, and it's based simply on what I've been around and seen. Had my experiences been better with RK I'd use their parts.
@LiteBrite
@LiteBrite 4 жыл бұрын
Just like everything else, as you go bigger and badder, the more maintenance is always required in general. Like when we upgraded to nitrogen shocks, the 6paks required maintenance. But it’s worth the added benefit. When you upgrade to beadlocks, those also require maintenance (a lot of people don’t know this, but they do). But the benefit is worth it. Same with this long arm kit, the benefits are worth the required maintenance. It all just depends on what your goal is for your personal rig and what you are willing to do to achieve and maintain that goal. 😊😊

Jaime Conde Jr RK is using new joints now and they also now powercoat everything in house. The issues before were when the outsourced the powder coating. The new joints won’t rust or corrode but yes these concerns are for good reason as they did use to have problems

I've been running a RK 3.5" x-factor for about 2 years. Very happy with it, very flexy. However, I broke the rear trackbar relocation bracket in 2. I called them and sent them an email with pics about a week ago. No reply back from anyone. They claim to have a lifetime warranty on all hard parts. I had an artec bracket welded on. Not doing another bolt on. I broke it once, I can break it again. Anyhow, enjoy the new RK bling. Rubber side down, shiney side up.

I'm really glad to see you guys are putting on an RK lift. As a 2dr JL owner, I was having trouble finding a quality lift my Jeep. RK was one of the first and still few manufactures that make a lift for the 2dr. It seems most companies don't want to bother with making 2dr JL lifts.
@mattclark8483
@mattclark8483 4 жыл бұрын
Any 4 door lift is a 2 door lift as well. Just keep in mind 2.5 would be 3.5, 3.5 would be 4.5 ext. Also some long arm kits would probably vary, but as far as not making lift kits for 2 doors, i have yet to see that. Pretty much every company out there makes 2 door kits.
@chefdanielb
@chefdanielb 4 жыл бұрын
Seconded. To that comment, the basic lifts are the same however some of them correct factory rake on the 4 door so you may need a 1/2" spacer on the rear. To level it out. But definitely no shortage of lifts on the market and as far as best goes. I would look into Synergy their stuff is bulletproof.
@80smxpro41
@80smxpro41 4 жыл бұрын
@@chefdanielb I hear RK is using the same springs for the JL as the JK with a spacer. This is what I'd heard so I cancelled my RK order and went with Teraflex.

@chefdanielb 4 жыл бұрын
I know too many people who have had failure after failure with RK. They have never been on my list of things to put on my JL. I usually support all the brands on this channel except this one. I also had really subpar results with Metalcloak. So far Synergy has been great.

Amazing shop! Clean too. I appreciate all the explanations and your great video editing. Now I understand more about long arm suspensions and what they do. Trouble is, I don’t have a JLU, only a lowly WK Hemi. I found a long arm setup for the rear, but the company is “out of stock”, and my local shop says it would not be worth the expense. Guess I’ll have to save up $ ! Love what you are doing LiteBriteNation!

They should really machine the end tubes after being welded. If the welder puts too much heat into the weld it will distort the end tube into an egg shape. This would allow less reliance on the welder.
