We load up the new 2020 Jeep Gladiator and or Jeep Wrangler onto the new tow pig - the RAM 3500 Big Horn! And holy guacamole is it one heck of a crazy setup. We're super stoked to travel the nation with it in 2020, but we're missing one more thing! Or at least we thought it was only one thing.

Its looking like 2020 is going to be crazy with what you've got planned, and I'm glad to be along for the ride. Appreciate what ever your editing trauma might be and liking the frequency and duration of the postings this past week or so. Short or long doesn't matter as even the small updates are priceless. Hell I'd have no problem watching a 5 minute video of cute little Jelly running around and playing with dog friends. Adding some drone footage for added effect would be a nice bonus for us and has been done very effectively by a few other channels. I cant wait to see what comes out of that project, but I still like the up-front stuff you've always done so well, all while keeping it so positive. I can only imagine how "cool" a trip to Alaska would be with Brad, Marco and the gang, and then be bopping to Hawaii, Australia and all over. From one extreme to the other you guys got the world by the balls right now and its sure fun to watch. Be safe, enjoy and take lots of footage!

Jason at remote pilot 101 will walk you through the course , A couple of good apps to download Kittyhawk and AirMap , they give you good information before you fly . The mavic zoom good choice 👍🏻. Just use common sense when flying and check out any local restrictions especially National parks and looking forward for some great shots

I bought the 1st gen mavic with the fly more package on preorder a few years back. It's a pretty awesome drone for the size. DJI keeps updating the type of flying styles you can do. You will want to get some filters for it right off the bat. Night and day difference, but I live in Corpus Christi and the glare on the water sucks, much like the glare off of the snow will for you guys. I bought the Sandmarc 4 pack on amazon for $100. I also took Remote Pilot 101. Way better than the book I bought. Super easy to understand. Look up on KZbin cinematic controls. It will reduce the jerkyness and make all of your pans velvety smooth. Can't wait for the new footage with the drone.

The advantage on the Mini is if you leave the USA. I have a Phantom 3 ( up for sale ) and just got the Mini. The mini doesn't have all the safety stuff the bigger ones do, but being under 250g allows it to be used in Countries other drones can't be. As it is small, I have had ZERO problems flying it vs a few comments when flying the larger Phantom 3. Most people just don't care as much when the toy looking is flown vs the much larger one is flown. The bigger ones will fly easily in winds up to 30 mph and the mini is best under 15 mph. The DJI guy didn't tell you wrong. You got a great setup, will probably want to add the Mavic Mini as a second unit or for leaving the USA where the light weight exempts it.

Sweet. A drone should really help elevate your channel. What I’ve seen on other channels, is that you don’t need a lot of drone shots to really up the production quality of your video. One or two quick shots in a 20 minute video can make a big difference.

be careful with straps they tend to loosen up over distance, chains are better or shock straps are even better!

if straps are done properly they never come loose. no matter what you are using you should always check your tiedowns a couple times a day

If you try and pull the strap tight, then winch it down, it will definitely come loose. If you have a couple of wraps on the straps, they will not come loose. I used to drive a truck, a long time ago, but would still rather work with straps than chains, any day of the week. They are far and away more safe.

Kevin you may have already done this bu I would suggest going to the weight scales and trying different configurations on how the Jeeps are loaded. I assume you loaded the JT backwards so the engine weight was more on the trailer axles but that may make you light on your drive axle. Balancing your trailer makes a huge difference in how it tows. Make sure your close on your king pin weight. Usually the rule of thumb is 25% of GTW. Also experiment with what tows the nicest. A little extra weight on the front might make for a smoother ride. I will also suggest looking into airbags for the rear axle.
