Out of all the other popular shonen like Bleach, dragon ball, Naruto, One piece, etc, Inuyasha for me is the best, even with the pacing issues I think this is one of, if not the best shonen there is, and it still holds up today. So I'm up for more, even if ends up not being as good! I just hope InuYasha and Kagome are alive and not dead just for the sake of plot convenience for the sequel.

So did end up doing my suggestion! It's a nice epilogue chapter just checking in with every one. And even the characters noting that Kagome hadn't used the Osuwari / Sit Boy command in a long time. Which I liked, since Kagome litterally has no reason to be envious of Kikyo anymore and Inuyasha should've just told her from the start.

MAN I CANT WAIT FOR YASHIME my most fav anime was always Inuyasha I mean I loved it so much at times I would wear red sweat pants and a red shirt when I did this people thought I was just dressing in all red but truthfully hehe I was ready to kick some ass lol I will be sad if kagome and Inuyasha are not in the new series but I think it will be ok too cause we are gonna get meet so many characters and hopefully there kids share alot of the same traits. Soooo kikyo sealed the root demon without much problem but they needed to have sango, miroku, inuyasha, kagome, kaede and even sesshomaru for the same demon?! Don't get me wrong I like kikyo but I think rumiko makes her too overpower, and am glad that she is still present in inuyasha's memories

there a difference between killing and sealing and its not really makes kikyo powerful. sealing somthing takes skill not strength and kiyo had years of exp and knowledge. plus the root wasn't strong it was just hard to kill witch prob why kikyo sealed it instead of killing it

Lisa Holly no definitely not. It’s because people see her as a impediment to Kagome and Inuyasha. I never saw that choice so literally though. She was already dead, Inuyasha’s choice was to die (with Kikyo) or live with Kagome... the impediment was Inuyasha himself. That and they just had her fall off one too many cliffs, but that’s the plot itself, not her as character. Her eventual death was still heartbreaking, and honestly one of my favourite scenes.

She is a tragic character, in love with Inuyasha separated from him by death, gets to come back but she is not really alive, then is fated to watch Inuyasha grow in love with her reincarnation. The ideal scenario is she moving on, because at this point it's just prolonging her suffering if she comes back. But one character that I was always wishing would die is Koga lol, definitely the most annoying character every time he was on screen.

I was lucky enough to see this chapter and I got a minute it was pretty good this is right after any after the final I came out and I decided to binge watch it on Hulu I was satisfied with that ending of the anime but then when I went online and read the manga and I found out about this chapter I it was pretty good because it felt like the story was continuing on, theI didn't know about the fact that the reason why this chapter came out was for benefits for the people in Japan and who suffered from the tsunami at the time that's pretty cool that the Creator made this extra chapter to help her people and to give them support cuz you know you actually it's a very popular series I can't wait to see me right after this this is just a nostalgic all these inuyasha videos are just giving me goosebumps and letting me binge watch the series all over again

Anyone who read the manga knows about it 😉(after watching the anime, I read the manga and was surprised there an extra chap!😂) they simply didn't animated for some reason! In the original Inuyasha anime series, but made it In Yashahime as a "first " Ep! Maybe to bring back memories of the characters for the fans who watched Inuyasha a long time ago! :)

Yea I agree that the Root head will have some kind of important role in Yashahime. In the trailer it did show the creature gaining the tree of ages power, meaning the time portal opens back up and Towa stumbles to it.

Kikyo does cast a large shadow. My feeling is that they need a demon to tie the children to events to Inuyasha. The Root Head demon may be the one sent Towa to present day and tried to weaken the defenses. The demon needed the child disappear but not where Sesshomaru finds her body. Pissed off Sesshomaru means a quick death. However, I suspect we will find out what happened to the parents in Yashahime.

Axel, as one of the people who never read the manga, I was very interested in your video and how they compare to OfficialInuYasha (youtube name) ideas concerning Root Head. You give a more detailed play by play of the events in the chapter but then leave it off with "possible scrap of this demon survived - chilling, growing stronger" while she abides by what I call a two porthole theory. OfficialInuYasha says that Root head had already made a porthole through the tree tunnel (hole under the tree - roots) - after earlier saying that, according to the trailer, Root Head gained the powers of the Tree of Ages. What is your take? Why would Root Head Need to create another porthole to the modern era - why can't it just use the well? Is this just confusion since the well is connected to the tree and part of taking over the powers of the tree would be taking over determining who could and could not go through the well. Should I adhere to the two porthole theory or should I stick to there being only one porthole to the modern era?

I think the way they use that chapter in Yashahime is quite clever, giving that weird demon some more depth than just having it killed of in one short act by Kagome and Inuyasha. That way the series could actually get some sort of new direction without rehashing old things from the predecessor. I'm really looking forward to how the anime will unfold. ^^ But this last chapter really made me cringe the first time reading it and I found it very unnecessary, to say the least. I actually read a lot of the series online since I was always eager to get the newest chapter of Inuyasha. When the series finished I was happy about the satisfying ending and didn't read it again for some time. Therefore I'd never heard about this extra chapter and was quite confused when I began reading the series again this year. Can't say that I like this peculiar epilogue as it kind of takes away from the ending and is super cliche and weak story wise. But as a catalyst for a new story it might actually work.

I do think it wasn’t just Rin he was protecting, he’d become a very changed demon, he probably had a bit more compassion towards humans at that point. I seem to recall at the end he let Sango live for nearly killing Rin inside Naraku so I assume he’d help protect her kids too????? 🤷‍♀️

This Chapter 559 actually came out in the Heroes Return Manga Special...right? Or is there another manga I need to look for because I have a copy of the Heroes Return Special. Okay nevermind you touched on it at the end. I thought I HAD another volume to look for. I don't think what we saw in the YashaHime trailer was an actual battle with Ne no Kubi from the manga, as set in the timeline of Moroha, Setsuna, and Towa, but a flashback. One thing I've noticed that supports this is that obviously, Rin, Kohaku, and Sango and Miroku's kids, as well as Shippo are still young. I believe another portion survived hidden beneath the Goshinboku like a parasite. I am beginning to suspect the visible vines came from that dormant portion and also allowed Kagome to climb up and access InuYasha setting the ball rolling. With the destruction of the yokai, which again, I am guessing, to be part two of the annoyance, would go along way in explaining why there are no vines around the tree later in the series and before when Kikyo sealed InuYasha to the tree. As with all things we won't know until the new series hits in October.

in the first episode of yashahime why inuyasha forgot to use meido zangatsuha directly on that root monster? instead of doing that poor attack named wind scar i mean he should be better skilled after he defeated naraku! that chapter between the final act and yashahime is pretty bad written inuyasha must be more skilled and stronger after he got many skills on his tessaiga he got the adamant barrage,dragon scale and meido zangetsuha now i wonder why he didn't try using the dragon scale tessaiga on the root yokai?!!! him using the wind scar on regenerative yokai like he forgot he got the dragon scale skill makes that episode really disapointing inuyasha of the final act used dragon scale to kill a regenerative yokai but in that yashahime episode he almost let kagome die just because he didn't try finding the demonic vortex for the root yokai he just needed to cut his demonic vortex not stricking it with wind scar like an idiot that monster didn't need meido I guess just the dragon scale is enough

this is one of the reasons why I believe Rin is the mother of the twins; after the Final Act 3 year time skip, there was another time skip that occurred before the twins were born (show events after the characters grew up)
