"Flames, flames, out the sides of my face." 🤣 No other woman, dead or alive, could have done a better job delivering that line. Breaks my heart to hear Madeline had such a hard time with self esteem issues in real life. I just hope she had some idea of how much she helped people laugh, and how much she was loved because of that.

I'm 51 now and remember her seeing as a child for the first time, and it was the funniest woman I ever saw... and none have topped it for me ever!

I had the great good fortune to see her twice onstage. One was her Tony winning performance as Dr. Gorgeous Teitlebaum in The Sisters Rosenzweig. The other was in the Judy Holiday role in Born Yesterday. A role she was born to play. She was brilliant in both. Not to mention that hilarious sketch on SNL as Mawena Dietwich opposite Gilda’s Baba Wawa. A truly talented and funny woman. Like Gilda, her death hurt. Wish she were still around to make me laugh. RIP.

She is probably the most beautiful funny and sweet woman I've ever had the pleasure to witness. And what a voice. She was definitely too good for today's world. Her role in Clue was one of the funniest things Ive ever seen . Just a all round incredible woman. Rest well Madeline...x

She had the best line in trying to persuade Addie, who is petulantly sitting on the side of a hill, back into the car. “Come on down, honey, and let Trixie with the big tits sit in front.” Priceless. Heartbreaking in a way, but priceless.

Loved her in Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and Clue. She went way to young and had such talent. Wish she had a better mother, nothing worse than a vicious parent.

I remember Madeline Kahn doing a spoof of Marlene Dietrich in Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles". My mom and I watched her on the "Cosby" sitcom in the 1990s. She is missed.

This video says "She was born Madeline Gail Kahn" and it also says "She changed her professional name to Madeline Kahn”. Both incorrect. She was born Madeline Gail Wolfson. Her father was Bernard Wolfson. Her parents divorced when she was 2 yrs old, and her mother’s 2nd husband, Hiller Kahn, adopted Madeline when she was 10 or 11 years old. Hiller Kahn was the father of her younger brother Jeffrey Kahn. Her biological father, Bernard, also remarried and had another daughter, giving Madeline a half sister named Robin Wolfson. Her brother Jeffrey was probably the person she was most closest to in her life.

Raise awareness? I’m pretty sure we are quite aware of ovarian cancer as well as the hundred other areas effected by cancer.
@unowen-nh9ov2 жыл бұрын
Evidently not, since trans women can no more be @ risk to gynecological or ovarian cancers than they can die giving birth, cramps & bleeding monthly, hot flashes, menopause or feet in stirrups, yet feminist wife, mother & author gets hate & her life threatened for taking issue with "people who menstruate". Cancer? Some people are unaware of human biology & how we all came to be.
