Another great example of why descriptions, or more accurately, words, are so important. I can only imagine the amount of frustration & ruined swings simply because a writer wrote “dip through the ball”, which as we can see, is completely inaccurate! Thanks for sharing these videos!

Thanks...the problem that has become more and more obvious to me is that neither golf writers or teaching pros have backgrounds in anatomy, physiology, and movement science. And there is no evidence that this will change anytime soon.

@@theamateurgolfersdilemma72 From the top of his backswing to P6 Nelson dipped about one foot, from there he was level thru impact as you point out.

What exactly are we referring to as the “dip?” The lower body action? If so, the knees and hips are clearly on their way down and left before, and through, impact, it just hasn’t bottomed out yet. Are we not hitting down “through” the ball just because the club continues to descend to its low point after it strikes the ball? I’ve been in agreement with an every one of your videos I’ve seen up to this point, but either I’m just not seeing it the way you are, or this a bit of a reach. I don’t think you can separate the end of the hip action from the entire move, which is what I would say people are calling the “dip.” 🤔

Are you kidding me? If you start at 2:08 there is a guy right by his head with dark sunglasses on, infact next to him is a guy who has his arm and hand up blocking the sun, at 2:17 Nelson is below the guy, the guys arm totally! Nelson has dipped down to hit down! Maybe you should consider re-thinking what you are saying!!
