Baljek Airport is located in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills District, is not used for now. It is currently being used to organise huge open air concerts. Must also be added, few years ago the airport was transferred to AAI(Airports Authority of India) by Meghalaya Government with plans to operationalise and upgrade the airport and runway to serve bigger aircrafts and increasing regional air connectivity demands.
