I love how your house feels very organized and tidy, but it also feels so warm and cozy and livable. It doesn't have that stiff cold look going on that some really organized houses have.

The college hiring you was not crazy. First they gauged that you had knowledge, and knew what you were talking about but most important within a minute they knew you had excellent communication and presentation skills. as one person here said "Your enthusiasm is contagious, and motivating."

I think it's so funny how you think you're a fraud or that it's crazy that you're a professional organiser....YOU HAVE GIVEN ME SO MANY IDEAS IT'S FREAKING UNBELIEVABLE! You're great because you are RELATABLE and you give tips that are actually feasible and possible in reality! So many other videos I've watched and thought, "yeah, there's no way I could ever maintain that".

A women after my own heart! Sitting here wondering how in the world you get your husband to follow the organizing rules. He has four drawers to my one - Ha Ha. I try so hard but he just doesn't work with me. I am constantly going behind him picking up. Then when you got to the kid organizing it hit me! He is still a kid! But then I saw daughters room - she participates beautifully. Oh well, most of the time I just sit back and gaze at what organizing I am to achieve a sense of accomplishment in (there are a lot!!!!) and smile with great satisfaction. Don't get me wrong... I love my dear husband and he is a very hard work and a maniac when it comes to yard work! I do see the good things he does every day.

You're right, the key to managing other peoples' clutter (especially childrens) is to make hidden areas they can just dump it all in. Long ago, I realized that while I enjoy a fully organized space, it's not as important to others, so if we're to live in harmony, I must compromise. Large bins for like objects is good enough. Great job.

Can you please do a video 1) about organizing your TIME -- I always want to have a more beautiful house, get dressed nicely, etc. but I feel like I am always just trying to feed the kids, get everyday errands done. I never seem to have time to make the Shutterfly books I want to, or get to my to do lists. 2) How to have an office in the kitchen without it getting cluttered -- lots of Moms have their "office"/"station" somewhere in the kitchen with calendar/meal plan/to do lists/school papers, and mine is never organized...help!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I SERIOUSLY WAS FEARFUL I'D BECOME A HOARDER. SO MUCH SO, I STARTED TO WATCH HOARDING SHOWS JUST TO SEE HOW TO GET THROUGH ( MY MOM HAD CANCER FOR 10 YEARS, I WOULD HAVE TO DROP WHATEVER I WAS DOING WHEN EVER BECAUSE HER NEEDS WERE URGENT, I HAD A MAN DIE IN MY ARMS, 2 MONTHS LATER I STARTED LAW SCHOOL AND MOVED TO A NEW HOUSE AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME(I DIDN'T EVEN MOVE MYSELF INTO THE NEW HOUSE I WAS SO BUSY WITH LAW SCHOOL). AND MY DAD JUST PASSED AWAY 4 MONTHS AGO. I HAD SO MUCH STUFF, I FELT I COULDN'T THINK!!! GETTING IT UNDER CONTROL NOW. GOODWILL LOVES US, SO DOES HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. BUT THAT IDEA OF HAVING A CLUTTER DRAWER OR CLUTTER PLACE IN EACH ROOM RESONATED WITH ME. THANK YOU.

Thanks I have been watching a number of your videos and I liked them all but this is the one that I needed the most... I am going to start on finding a spot in every room as you suggest. I love that idea and I know it will do wonders for me and my house. Thanks again. I hope you have one on paperwork and mail. My husband brings the mail in every day but everyday he seems to find a different place to lay it down. I hate paperwork so I make it the last thing on my list of things to do and unfortunately I became disabled 5 years ago so I am limited on how much I can even accomplish in one day so most days I don't get to the end of my list so the paperwork and mail just pile up everywhere. At that point my niece has to come and bail me out of my paper clutter. I do have periodic help on housework. But I need a solution on the papers.

Great, great video. Actually, I have been doing this for a long time, but never really thought about it the way you described it. Now I am thinking maybe I can expand on this concept. One other thing I have discovered is that no one can ever be totally organized and done because once you think you are, there is always something to reorganize. I think it is just a way of life, you either have it or you don't, and I can see this so clearly in my own family and friends. I love your videos, but this one really spoke to me. Thanks.

Wow...you are such an inspiration. My only question is it just you who try so hard to keep the house so clean and organized, do the rest of your family members cooperate with you, coz thats my biggest challenge, i try and work so hard to keep everything clean and organized but the rest of my family doesnt get it and i feel like this OCD freak who's constantly bugging them, which is so frustrating, coz i really dont like myself when i bug them...but its too overwhelming for me to do it myself only to get it wrecked by someone the next minute. Please reply. Thank you.

Good idea, to have a drawer to put stuff in, but I have more junk than I have I have hiding spots. I did lots of crafts at senior center, that we’d try to sell, to make money to help pay for renting a bus to take us on trips, to the fair, or Bossier La, flower garden, (just a few places.) I mostly help do ceramics, but I would go to Dollar tree almost every day, but now I have so much junk at home with no place to put it. My craft room is full already, so I just have Boxes of stuff all over the floor. Our center closed to the public in March because of the Caron’s virus, they still Hand out lunches, but people have to stay in their cars, can not get out. I don’t get out much because I’m a High risk, because of health issues. God Bless you and your family. Thanks for all you do.your so funny, Besides Smart. If I need a smile, I just go to your channel. You could be a comic.👍👍😃❤️❤️ Dollar tree

I have just noticed that Downton Abbey has "the gong". Maybe 1/2 hour before dinner (?breakfast too) there is a warning gong. All houses with kids need a warning gong. Come and get all your stuff out of the common areas. And DO NOT give it to BOB. If it is YOUR clothing, toy, homework, it is not BOB's responsibility.

Your home is amazing and you do have awesome ideas, you should get paid. I know if you were closer to my home town, I would not think twice before paying a professional to organize my disgusting house. It has taken me over. Every single room is a total disaster. I called a professional company & they wouldn’t even return my call to give me an estimate. My house is not nasty or filthy, it’s just so much stuff everywhere & I’m afraid to just toss everything without going through it because I lost my mother & I’m afraid there are pictures or anything to do with her in my mess & I’m just so overwhelmed. I don’t know where to even start in my house my 8yo son thinks it’s normal. Ty for the tips

Great video on congrats on doing what you love and getting paid for it! Can you expand on this topic? What other differences have you noticed between the super organized and the less organized people? I always wonder what other people are doing different that makes their home look and function so much better.

Me too. I actually asked a professional organizer that one day and was told you have to be born with it.

Shonda W I don't believe that's necessary true, I do think it can be learned. You just have to work a little harder at it which is what I'm doing.
