I think the main point of this video is to teach beginners and people who want to do it at home with whatever they have around. Otherwise, for Mr.Wolf, this stuff is a piece of cake. I like it ❤

Why did you heat the guides before driving them out? The aluminium has a higher rate of expansion than steel. If you use a punch with a pilot it acts as a heat sink further reduces the interference fit.
@MrWolfDiy15 күн бұрын
Hi، Since during installation it's secured using the same process, heating the cylinder head slightly expands the space, allowing it to come out easily. Otherwise, it would definitely break.🙏

Oh how I wish this idea, removing valve springs had cropped up 50years ago .! I hate the "G" clamp tool - the lever tool I'm sure would work on other heads.

Couldn't you just put the guides in the freezer overnight it's a trick they do with putting in sleeves in diesel engines
@MrWolfDiyКүн бұрын
Cooling the guide metal causes it to contract, while heating the cylinder head causes it to expand. Both methods can be used together.🙏
@MrTheHillfolkКүн бұрын
Really need some dry ice , a normal freezer doesn't do much for contraction except allow a part to not warm up as quick.

Dont follow this heating method. Its wrong. If you heat the nearby area the pressfit increases onto the guide! Use an old bench owen and put the whole head in for an hour at 150_200 degrees celsius. If the guide still is hard to drive out heat it more. Didnt see a reaming process to the new guides! Missed the cutting of new valve seat also. You cant use abrasives only. And you dont use a drilling machine for that either. It should be a light reciprokating movement with changes of the angular position..

You're supposed to heat the head, not the guide, lol. If you heat the quide... it will expand and get tighter, you want the head to expand so the press-fit gets looser, smh 🤦

right, but I heated the cylinder head for 10 minutes. Cut that part from the video to keep it short. Just needs heat to loosen up and come out with light taps. Same deal when putting it back... thanks for watching 🙏

@@Reiner_Markenfreund .......................and get multiple things wrong. It's a Honda clone so will run but not for long or well. Long time ago (1979 ish) I did a lot of work on various small engines (Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, etc) The CB125 with slightly modified CB750 K1 piston (145cc) is capable of about 90mph so obviously good power increase from the 12bhp and ~60mph original
