I am really impressed with your tool collection. I have not done valve lapping in years, and back then it was done by hand. could you put a list of your equipment and flapper grit etc. This is fascinating.
@lodhiautos97619 ай бұрын
Good work done. You could get even more good results if you follow some suggestions. First the weight of the newly made valves seem to be more massive, which may result in the bouncing at higher engine rpm. Next the valve face seat print must not be more than 1.5 mm. If it is less than 1.5 mm, the valve seat may overheat. If it is more wider, the valve can become sticky. The valve seat is always kept inside than the center line of the valve face. With the passage of time and usage, the valves tend to force inside the seat, and premature failure of valves can occur. Thank you again for your good work. Keep it going.

I always enjoy seeing you at work and the amazing tools and machines at work. I am not a machinist and have no knowledge of the craft, but I would like to ask a question: I notice that you do most of the machining processes without the use of a cutting fluid or coolant; why is that?
@PaulXchannel9 ай бұрын
You can get higher performance with coolant.

OLÁ. Muito interessante. Falta acabamento em algumas operações. Em outras falta conhecimento. O retirar e colocar a séde nova é Hilariante. Dependendo do sistema de fabricação da válvula é DESACONSELHAVEL reaproveitar uma válvula usada. ABRAÇOS... Roberto Udo Krapf

Hi Paul, I've watched quite a few of your videos on repairing the heads and cam bridges on the KTM's. Is this a service that you would quote for? I live in Scotland and I'm finding it very difficult to find a machine shop that is willing to take on the task of repairing my cylinder head off a 2018 SXF 250. The galling on the cam journals is not as bad as some of the ones that you have repaired. Kind regards Keith Thornburn

I repaired a KTM head to a friend some time ago. Exhaust valves were OK, and intake were destroyed. Strange, I thought. Then, I used a magnet and noted that intake valves were plain steel (magnetic) , an exhaust valves were some non magnetic steel, ( as it should). Not sure how manu tyme will last intake valves modified to exhaust valves due to the steel quality..

впускные клапаны на выпуск - плохая идея. неожиданное и странное решение. у них материал неподходящий. также материал сёдел и ширина рабочих фасок на них вызывают вопросы. я восхищён твоими другими работами, но этот случай - какая-то туфта.
