What I most like about your channel is that your operation farms hillsides and shows it can be done and how.

Great job on both the video and commentary Mrs. Gierok! The whole family has that talent. Love your channel and the fabulous videos you provide us with. Keep them coming, we love to see and hear from you ALL.

It helps to have a post hole drill. That speeds things up. That's a good reason to get, buy, steal, rent one. Good to hear Mary Gierok's expertise too . Everyone has great input on the family farm.

Great new commentator on this one! Good! Our land isn't nearly as steep, but even so we drop the dirt on the "up" side of the hole. Always enjoy your videos! This "early subscriber" highly recommends others subscribe. Keep up the good work.

Moma Gierock does a great job. The camera certainly does not do justice to how steep it is. It should when you were taking the skid hill.

I tamped a lot of posts as a kid, but never thought of using the other end of a shovel. Granddad had a wooden tamper the hole end was about 3 inches wide with a metal collar to help it from spreading.
@mikewithers2998 ай бұрын
Grandad used the shovel handle, digging bar, sledgehammer. Whatever worked best. I had to learn too. Good skills to pick up at a young age.

Around my area, we drive the posts in. Different tools for different areas. Great video, and I hope you don't get to much snow. Makes more mud here. 🙄👍👍

It works good if you drill a bigger hole then when you put the post in use crushed rock to throw in the hole along with the dirt it’s just like using concrete they won’t move. I’m sure it would be a pain to haul the rock out to the field

Mrs. G and George, great job; like your choice of red for the HD gates. A top-notch presentation: my head has not stopped spinning. Good that you are giving Aaron a break and keeping us informed. BUT, please do not become a Wilson, like on Tool Time!

Actually there is quite a bit of sand in the soil around that area. There are quite a few "frac" sand mines in the western Wisconsin counties surrounding their farm.
