Another good point you didn’t make is to build up credit. Start an llc and just apply for business credit. Especially if you don’t have a lot of capital to throw around at first. I only had like 5 grand to start in cash. They won’t give you very much to start with if you aren’t established but if you use the credit and pay it off you can apply for more credit. Make sales using the credit, even if you aren’t even really making anything, then once you have your sales and increased credit line go to a distributor. I personally don’t sell sealed products, I mostly buy and sell singles and slabs, but this is how I got a very high line of business credit and also my sales spoke for themselves in helping make connections in the hobby. This stuff doesn’t happen over night, or even in a month or two. Took me almost 6 months to build everything. Great video 🎉 keep up the good work my dude.

Everything you mention in your video works for any type of business and dream that anyone can have. I am also starting in this business in the US. In my country, I had this business, and it was very good, but its potential is so vast that I couldn't elevate it there. Of course, it's not possible to find a distributor and face all the difficulties you mention. Additionally, I have limitations by not being in my country, but still, we continue to fight to make our dream grow.

I'm starting small by selling singles and slabs on ebay. It's tough sometimes but I'm working my way up to doing more volumes of my inventory. With a few to no sales in a certain week out of the month, it's slow but the love of the hobby and my goal to do this full-time someday, is keeping me going.

Sourcing cards I’m finding is tough., I started I sold over 50 cards on eBay and another couple hundred on tcg .. I’ve made just under $1000 in the last 45 or so days .. though cost to get items, shipping stuff, fees, etc has eaten all of that money.. a lot of it was selling my old first editions.. and then also finding ways to get Lorcana early.. but otherwise having a tough time finding stuff to flip or good deals where I can make a small profit. Every “good” eBay auction ending soon I just get out bid too a number that doesn’t make a flip possible.. I don’t have the money for a distributor so that’s not a goal but sourcing more cards that actually sell would be nice. Hard paying 4-5$ for booster packs just to all the bulk going for 1 cent and the “pulls” going for under 10$ lol

it really is the hardest part of the job - try collect-a-con conventions - go on sunday (the last day) and people start putting mad discounts on things they dont want to pack back up

Great videos! I watched a few videos and even started to look into how to order some boxes. I tried to be a bit creative and looked into wholesale and realized that those aren't the right ones. But I must say I almost ordered, and I was fortunate enough that the supplier informed me before buying that they were replicas, and not originals! I then learned that if I sold those replicas, that it would be a crime for legal reasons... I'm letting you know so that maybe you could consider making videos about that too, if that might be a good idea! Even though I came to the conclusion that this might not be for me after all, I still learned some amazing things about a niche in one of my favorite franchises!

Don’t worry about a distro if you’re brand new. they require too big of spending. Start small- eBay and Facebook sales. Build a portfolio and capital - might take a year or longerb
