Great video, as usual. NuHorizon did a video these a couple of weeks ago and loved them. He compared both the ported 87mm and the 91mm being installed and estimated the 91mm provided a 10 to 20% increase over the ported 87mm. Ordered 87mm along with the eventuri during the black friday sale. To good of a deal to pass up on for what is probably a 10% improvement. Will be installing over the xmas holiday after getting my first oil change and transmission filter change done by the dealer.

Its more responsive but ya youre not getting hp gains from slightly bigger TBs. The air intake is worth it but ill just wait for the zr1 or a turbo kit you can actually tune properly. ​@@executiveinvestments

Did you also install the Soler TC? I have it in my C8Z and it eliminated the "dead spot" in 1st gear. The TC allows me to dial in the aggressiveness in the throttle response as well. Run it in Sport 6.

Solar throttle bodies add 3hp, 2lbs torque to Z06. ….. Watch YT video just released by Florida High Performance… Tests were done on dyno at similar temps. In video he adds/tests air intake, Solar tbs, Kooks headers, and an exhaust system. Does dyno tests after each an-on part. Very interesting.

I actually don't know anyone who used either one. I would say you are probably the safest with the 95mm the 103mm might require porting of the intake.

Has anyone put these on a Dyno with and without an Eventuri for results? If I remember correctly the first time around indications where they didn’t stack well. Some have reportedly removed the combination. No additional power with the combination and reduced power in other cases I believe. Would love to see data.

No cosmetic differences. They'd have to take the intake off to see they are different. I haven't had any issues with a CEL from these.

The controller will prob make the throttle response more jerky not less. Just a throttle ramp remap. No added power at all.

I’d remove and return to original throttle body before taking in for any engine warranty work. Throttle controller adds zero hp. It just changes how far you press the pedal for desired throttle body open/close position.

How is it that just increasing throttle body size, with no tune, will affect hp? Don’t you think that with the millions of dollars GM spent on research/testing designing the LT6 engine… that if a slightly larger throttle body was any advantage, they would have done it? MPG was not an issue for the LT6 engine design.

Thanks for the question, it’s not just a generic larger TB. We have ported and reengineered the blade and sensors we use. We do it in a way to take advantage of the additional airflow that GM left behind to be maximized without throwing any codes. No tune is required! Brandon reported gains of 15hp on our 87mm. I get that a larger throttle body will increase hp… if the factory throttle body is actually limiting air flow. Think GM would leave that simple of a change on the table? Their claim to fame with the LT6 is a high hp na engine. Love to see a dyno run before and after install, of just throttle body. In same weather conditions/temp. I can see a benefit once ECU is unlocked and a more aggressive tune is programmed and/or if forced air is added.
