I have seen more than 300 KZbin videos about cakes but you’re the only one who explains everything as in everything about every steps you’re doing on your videos. Thank You too for being true and honest with your recipes as many here aren’t. They reveal only a half of it and we viewers end up with something very different than what it’s supposed to be. I love all your videos and a heartfelt THANK YOU for sharing🙏. Wishing you all the best on your KZbin channel.

What I love about your videos is that they look authentic... because you never pretend like everything comes out perfectly everytime. Its very encouraging for new bakers. Thanks Brit Lady :)

Hopefully the flaws on my cakes will make it less frustrating for someone else when it happens to them, and give them ideas on how to fix it :-)

It’s so very admirable of you to show your mistakes. These are exactly the sorts of problems people run into on their first attempt at a recipe and feel totally deflated as they compare what they created with the tenth version made by the cooking show host. Seeing you too make mistakes is encouraging and illustrates how much effort you put in to resolve problems to spare us the aggravation. Thank you. By the way, these three cakes look amazing!

Could you use parchment paper instead of acetate???
@BritishGirlBakes2 жыл бұрын
Yes! It's not as thick and sturdy as acetate so it will buckle more as you lift it and press it against the cake but it is definitely possible!

Do you have any suggestions to make squiggled lines from the side climbing over the top of a rounded top cake? I have been trying to figure it out! thank you, love your channel
@BritishGirlBakes Жыл бұрын
Can you tell me a bit more about what kind of squiggled lines you're trying to make? And is a rounded top like a cake baked in a bowl and flipped over?

Could I use wax paper if I don't have acetate?
@BritishGirlBakes3 жыл бұрын
Yes! It's a bit trickier because it's not as thick and strong as acetate so more likely to buckle when you lift it to wrap around the cake, but if you use a frosting smoother to scrape around the cake several times you'll be able to smooth it out
@Oksyadream4 жыл бұрын

Hi buttercream can solidify and hold it’s shape which allows us to create these designs unfortunately cream has a different property and won’t allow it to hold it’s shape and create these designs hope that helps! ☺️
@SilviaGarciaStupervitta4 жыл бұрын
do you use only one buttercream recipe why dont you use merengue buttercream?
@BritishGirlBakes4 жыл бұрын
The acetate technique works with crusting buttercream because it sets and doesn't get damaged as you peel away the acetate
