You know it's going to be a good lesson when it's about something you've never heard of
@YThates Жыл бұрын
In english we call it dynamic posing and Counter Action. He calls it Counter Shape
@leyienafterhours660 Жыл бұрын
@@YThates this sounds like a dynamic posing subcategory/technique though, dynamic posing itself is a general thing
@YThates Жыл бұрын
@@leyienafterhours660 You need counter action to make dynamic poses, that's why I added the context. So the person can continue the research on their own.

Thank you so much for having the eng sub available. Your lessons need to be heard globally. They are so precious.

What I've gathered from what he showed and said, is the whole idea of adding counter-poses/lines. It's basically how to make a dynamic pose. Using shapes can also help. I think this was pretty great. I'll save this for future references when I wish to remind myself of making such when I draw. And I love how all those poses were made looking so easy to make. I'm always stuck on the anatomy, but I guess why it's easy for you is because of how long you've been drawing bodies. It's just ingrained into memory, right? Calm and steady, I like that.
I'm happy I stumbled across you! I'm taking a figure drawing class this term so I will definitely use your information going in! Thank you very much!

Ive known about this principle in composition and cinematography but applying it to poses makes sense. In some way its a extention of straights vs curves and general shape appeal... Really good stuff!

Because Japanese anime has a huge amount of drawing requirement, they use this one stroke line style to save time , which is different from Disney animation , It looks more like Chinese brush line drawing, but Chinese brush is more dynamic in width and intensity. Disney animation drawing is more like a sketch, life felling . They have that called dynamic drawing technique. I think that is the source for dynamic pose drawing.
