When I was in High School over a decade ago In the UK, we had quite strict uniform policies. We rarely got to wear our own clothes except for on designated "fun days" and our lockers were small cubes. I think it's good we had uniforms looking back. I never had much money and I didn't like the days where we could wear our own clothes because it highlighted that I was poorer than most of my classmates. I went to a fairly good school in a nice area. The students were middle-class or upper middle-class.

Uniforms just seem awful to force onto kids. Flannel shirts like Alex is wearing are so much more comfortable. If it gets too hot you can tie them around your waist; they also can double as a butt blanket for sitting on grass.

Oh honey back then when I was living in the 90's as a kid tv was fun: some shows educated children: Popular Mechanic for kids, Beakman, Eco adventure amazon, The animal world of Kratts! It was until 2003 that Discovery kids channel (it was also for teens) went down to the garbage! It became discovery babies! But even Cartoon Network, Fox kids (who then became Jetix) and Nicelodeon.....it was literally the golden era of tv for teens and kids!!!!

7th grade, man 😌 It's been since I've watched this show, following _Clarissa Explains It All_ too. Being a 11 turning 12 year old youngin at the time watching this, I had a lil' amount of attraction towards Alex (Larisa Oleynik), but it was Clarissa (Melissa Joan Hart) who stole my heart and had me into so many white girls then - some gotten to like me, others not so much on the count of me being a dork.
