She was such a cool protagonist with so many original powers I have never seen replicated in comics or videogames since.

Because she was so young when it started, she aged pretty quickly... as kids do. So you're probably remembering the later episodes. And the fact that you were younger too, everyone looks older closer to your age when you're young. I had the same thought watching the intro

I remembered watching this when I was like 12 or 13 and it always amazes me and feel jealous of how cool it is to study in the US, stuffs like not wearing uniforms, having your own locker at school.. things like these are not common in the Philippines.

When I was in High School over a decade ago In the UK, we had quite strict uniform policies. We rarely got to wear our own clothes except for on designated "fun days" and our lockers were small cubes. I think it's good we had uniforms looking back. I never had much money and I didn't like the days where we could wear our own clothes because it highlighted that I was poorer than most of my classmates. I went to a fairly good school in a nice area. The students were middle-class or upper middle-class.

Uniforms just seem awful to force onto kids. Flannel shirts like Alex is wearing are so much more comfortable. If it gets too hot you can tie them around your waist; they also can double as a butt blanket for sitting on grass.

I went to high school in Fullerton California and we didn’t have lockers. Class of 2002. I did always trip out when I would go to Mexico and found out kids had to wear shitty uniforms. But had they’re own lockers.

As someone who was born in the early 80s and liked 80s shows, but was still young enough for kids shows in the 90s, I didn't like 90s shows as much and really missed the cool 80s ones. Alex Mack was an exception. I thoroughly enjoyed this show.

7th grade, man 😌 It's been since I've watched this show, following _Clarissa Explains It All_ too. Being a 11 turning 12 year old youngin at the time watching this, I had a lil' amount of attraction towards Alex (Larisa Oleynik), but it was Clarissa (Melissa Joan Hart) who stole my heart and had me into so many white girls then - some gotten to like me, others not so much on the count of me being a dork. Same thing going through early years of high school. Good times.

Uhh wow, this brings back so many memories of my childhood. Eating jello, pudding, snacks galore, and pizza. And watching Snick at night. And then switching over to the USA network to watch USA up all night, and Friday the 13th movies. Life was so much easier back then and different. Always keep in mind, no matter how old we get, it is always important for us to never lose that inner child in us.
