Mine too…. I always wondered if Trent leveraged Pro Pilot’s to guide him. One day I’ll be in the room with all 3 of them. You 3 have really helped me so far and I’m just starting. Love you guys. Pls keep doing what you do for us.

Both of your channels were major components of my immediate action! I found Trent because I wanted to make sure at 39 it wasn't a bad plan to do a career shift. I came here to say that it's two of my favorite channels in one spot.

Trent is one of the reasons on my 53rd birthday I decided to do my own career 2.0 as a professional pilot. I have been helping my son with his pilot training since he got out of the Air Force in 2023. Watching videos and researching the best path for him using his Post 911 Gi Bill and listening to the Pro-Pilot Playbook. Trents Video really hit home with me. I thought I am 52 and owned 3 airplanes over the years so why not??? Received my PPL in 1991 and now working on my IFR/COMM with just over 700TT. Thank you Sean and Mike for all the podcasts and Trent for making your "Is 53 too old to be an Airline pilot" video!

Hell yah! Keep at it! Have you found some resources for you son with the GI Bill? I’m happy to help if you’d like some guidance. I’ve used my GI Bill to the max and am getting ready to graduate with my degree in Aeronautics. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. I’m 41 btw and aviation is my 2.0!!!

@@VictoryAviationHi Victory. If my spouse is Retired Military Vet what resoures or military discounts can I get going to get my pilot license ?
@VictoryAviation
@VictoryAviation 4 ай бұрын
@@digitalvipnews I’m not totally sure about discounts. That would be based upon the specific flight school or college you’re attending whether they would honor a military discount for immediate family. If your spouse has unused GI Bill benefits, there are some ways they can transfer the benefits to a dependent in certain circumstances, but I am completely out of the loop on how that occurs or who qualifies. Surprisingly enough, the people at the VA education office have been super helpful each time I’ve called in. I would google about who qualifies for GI Bill transfer of benefits, and if it looks like you may qualify, then give them a call and talk to a representative.

I am 53 years old and made the decision last year to pursue aviation. I found Trent’s channel and follow him. Have always wanted to be a pilot and now it looks as though the stars have aligned and I can actually live out my dream. Got my private certificate in November and now I am working on my instrument. Love and appreciate all the advice you are giving. This is my career 3.0 as I started as a corpsman in the Navy, and now have spent the last 27 years in enterprise sales. I can not wait to leave this corporate job and be able to fly for a living.

Between Top Gun, Buck Rogers, Black Sheep Squadron, Airwolf and Blue Thunder (and a ton of others….) I had my mind made up. Tried to get started in high school but life ended up happening. Trent was basically one of the final nails on that “get back in the saddle” coffin if not the final one. The way I see it now, I just took a 30 year break and I’m about to start school in about week and a half. Thanks Trent for restoring the faith! And thanks Pro-Pilot Playbook for the insights!

This was a great video. These are the first two channels I watch on KZbin when I started looking at a 2.0 career change. I always want to fly but in my younger years with kids and other things life through at me it wasn’t possible. Now my youngest goes to college next September and it’s time for me. And I was always in the mind set that I was to old to enter the aviation field now. It was till I meet a captain for delta at a MLB game in Philadelphia and we started talking that he said I was to old to enter the field. We talked for 45 mins and then we went our separate ways. But from that point on he had sparked a fire in me that is making me want to jump into aviation like I wanted to do in my younger years. Only thing I should have done was gotten some kind of contact info from the Delta pilot. But Flying with Trent and PPP were the first channels I found when doing some searching online. I have gone to a few schools looking think I found the one I will attend went and passed my first class medical exam. Now just working on some of the ways to come up with the financial aspects of going to school. My plain will be leaving my job and focusing on flying full time to help me learn in the most efficient way. But thank you all for these two channels cause they are very helpful to me.

No one really talks about the extreme expense . The reality of how much it costs to go to flight school with no money. Working part -time is not realistic. This video is great if you already have money and time to go to school full time. Please don't get me wrong, you all have started from scratch and have worked hard to get where you are. However, you all have money. Please remind your viewers that you have to pay for this training from somewhere. It's not as easy as it sounds. You just can't quit your job and get a loan that you can qualify for and start flying. It's not how the real world works. I know because I have tried it. There are many scholarships and grants, but again, you have to qualify for it. You have to be a certain age high school student, already enrolled college student, already enrolled in a flight school, or have some flight ratings. There are many stipulations and hoops to jump through, especially if you are 50+ I am not giving up. I will find a way. Thanks for the video.

While I enjoy Trent's channel I can't relate or look to him for inspiration. The only thing in common I have with him is I also want to have career 2.0 as a pilot. Otherwise we are starting from very different places. I can't just drop what I'm doing to go to ATP. My family can't afford to have me not work for 7+ months. I can only look back and wish I would have been as smart as him earlier in my life. Another good show though

You don't have to relate 100% to a person to find inspiration from them. I am the complete opposite of Trent, young black female, middle class, 9-5 worker. We have nothing in common besides our passion for aviation. That's enough! Trent goes after what he wants and created a plan to get it done. His drive is inspiring. His passion to help others is inspiring. You don't need to have the same exact path for someone to be an inspiration.

Not true at all, airline pilots only work 8-12 days a year as well. Airline 401ks also blow corporate pilot retirement plans out of the water. Do corporate pilots get 16% direct contributions? @@FullaSquaids
