As far as my DAW, I have used all the freebies as well as some of the ones with more features, such as Reaper (free for 60 days), however I keep going back to Adobe Audition- My monthly subscription has always been $23.

Yes, I have experimented with all of them, but Audition is the most solid and useful for us voiceovers. The easy way to create shortcuts is wonderful. Plus how you can make one key do a long string of effects if you need this can be very useful using the "Favourites" system
